These lights are a great deal for what you get. My husband and I have been diving for almost 20 years and this sure beats the big, heavy, bulky lights that would use to need to get the brightness required. I would recommend this product without hesitation.

Used this light for the first time last week. Fresh out of the packaging. Worked fine until flooding @ 65'. Once dive completed, fresh water rinse and moisture guard spray did not halt the corrosion. Although lights of this size are great backups, reliability should be a key criteria in selecting which type to get.

Comments about Princeton Tec, 2006 Tec-40:

I use this light as a back-up or in lower vis day dives were I dont want to carry a larger light.
Works well as back-up light on night dives but beam is a little narrow.

bought it for a cheap light for my first diving trip. got two: one for me and one for a friend. Had no issues, and was able to use it for all 13 dives, Even worked well for the night dive

Comments about Princeton Tec, 2006 Tec-40:

Used as a back-up light. Fits good in my b/c pocket. Decent light output. Con: Twist-on bezel has to be loose to keep light off and may let water enter the light. With that type of light actuation the light can turn itself on easily draining the batteries.

This light is either on or off when you enter water and may leak when in off position.
