Whats in the box:LED Light, 8 C-Cell Alkaline Batteries and Wrist Lanyard

Shockwave LED

Triple Max-Bright LED's combined with Princeton Tec's proprietary optics offer unprecedented brightness and beam smoothness. 400 Lumens of pure brute power is offered with two modes of illumination; high for super bright and low for extended battery life. The light output is calibrated for both close range tasks and spotting at a distance. The Shockwave LED is engineered to be impact resistant and waterproof to 330' (100 meters).

Light has 3 Max-Bright 3-Watt LED's that give 16 Hours of Burn Time on the High Power Setting and 26 Hours on Low. Light is equipped with LED Optical Collimator. A collimator gathers all available light from an LED in the form of scattered rays and re-emits the light as parallel rays, making it more optically efficient than a standard reflector. Princeton Tec calibrates each collimator to the type of LED and application of each light. With proprietary optimized collimator / lens systems, Princeton Tec continues to advance LED technology.

Princeton Tec has developed proprietary ultra-light heat-sinks to protect LED products from overheating. Even though LEDs operate at much lower temperatures than traditional incandescent bulbs, they still generate heat. If this heat is not dissipated, the LED will suffer irreversible damage. By using heat-sinks, Princeton Tec lights can burn at extreme brightness levels for long periods of time. The heat-sink may be incorporated internally or externally depending on the product and its application.

Powered by 8 C-Cell Alkaline Batteries (included), LED Life of 10,000 Hours and weighing 37.92 oz (1,075 g) with batteries, all make this one great dive light. Light is equipped with a Pistol Grip Handle with an Adjustable Rubber Shrouded Wrist Lanyard and is available in 3 color choices.

One minor issue is the switch...according to my local dive shop the switch design fails quite often. We'll see how mine lasts...other than that...fantastic light!

This light has serious design and reliability flaws. Before entering the water for my first dive with this light it stopped working on the high setting. I sent it in for repair when I got back. Princeton Tec returned it 6 weeks later. I'm leaveing for a trip next week so I put batteries in it to check it out- it worked for 5 seconds and 2 of the 3 LEDs flickered and went out. Buy another brand - I just did

Comments about Princeton Tec, NEW 400 Lumens Shockwave LED Dive Light:

I had repeated problems with pelican lights and swapping to Princeton has been better for all of our Tanasqui dive club. No more leaks or pressure cap ruptures it is a bit heavy and a bit much for new divers at night diving.
