DESCRIPTION

Whats in the box:Light, 4 C-Cell Alkaline Batteries and Wrist Lanyard

The little brother of the Shockwave, the Miniwave is nothing to scoff at. Princeton Tec packed 390 Lumens into the smaller body style, so you really can have your cake and eat it, too. The smaller body style is ideal for those who want to be streamlined and lighter. With the flick of the switch you can toggle between low and high power settings and the locking mechanism ensures that the Miniwave LED will remain off when you have it in your bags.

Light has 3 Max-Bright 3-Watt LED's that give 4 Hours of Burn Time on the High Power Setting and 10 Hours on Low. Light is equipped with LED Optical Collimator. A collimator gathers all available light from an LED in the form of scattered rays and re-emits the light as parallel rays, making it more optically efficient than a standard reflector. Princeton Tec calibrates each collimator to the type of LED and application of each light. With proprietary optimized collimator / lens systems, Princeton Tec continues to advance LED technology.

Princeton Tec has developed proprietary ultra-light heat-sinks to protect LED products from overheating. Even though LEDs operate at much lower temperatures than traditional incandescent bulbs, they still generate heat. If this heat is not dissipated, the LED will suffer irreversible damage. By using heat-sinks, Princeton Tec lights can burn at extreme brightness levels for long periods of time. The heat-sink may be incorporated internally or externally depending on the product and its application.

Powered by 4 C-Cell Alkaline Batteries (included), LED Life of 10,000 Hours, Depth Rated to 330' (100 meters) and weighing 22.93 oz (650 g) with batteries, all make this one great compact travel light. Light is equipped with a Pistol Grip Handle with an Adjustable Rubber Shrouded Wrist Lanyard and is available in 3 color choices.

They need to sell the switch as spare parts or make it more realiable.

If the switch can be fixed, this would be a PERFECT dive light.

Nice and lightweight. Easy to handle. The switch looks like it could snap in a year or so. After about 10 secs of use, switch would not go into low range. I left it in the middle range for about 2 minutes wondering if it just wasn't making contact or if the circuit was bad. I smelled something burning and opened it up. The outer layer of the batteries were melting. I'll try to exchange it and hope the next one will be worth giving high reviews for. It is bright though!

Comments about Princeton Tec, NEW 390 Lumens Miniwave LED Dive Light:

This light is excellent. I bought two, one for me and one for my 13 year old son. We have used the lights on many dives in Hawaii, the Florida Keys, and here at home in the cold turbid waters of New England. I have never pushed the limits of the batteries because that could result in a dangerous situation, but I have never had a failing light due to battery capacity (with either of the two lights). The beam is excellent; not too wide, not too narrow. I bought this light because it is smaller in size and this light has the higher output (390 lumens). I'm sure this isn't the best light ever made, but it works great and the price from Leisure Pro can't be beat. There are no issues with the switch like I have read in other reviews. I would recommend this light to any recreational/sport diver. I would buy more of these lights if I needed more.

Extremely bright for its small size & not heavy. Light uses 4 C-cell batteries & has a low & high beam setting. This dive light really turns darkness into light!! Perfect in and out of the water.

Comments about Princeton Tec, NEW 390 Lumens Miniwave LED Dive Light:

Although this produce is a little on the heavy side (due to the weight of 4 C batteries) it produces super bright wide angle beam underwater even in the low intensity mode and is a perfect primary light for any night dive. The light should work for 8 hours in low intensity mode or 4 hours in high. Common C type batteries used for the light are another huge plus. I am getting another one for my buddy.
