nice light

Nice little light. Burned bright and everyone knew it was me. Used it for an identifying light on my tank for a night dive.

I found it to be not much brighter than a glow stick, and substatially more expensive. I had one of these but it leaked before I got to use it on a night dive. I threw it out, instead of asking PrincetonTec to repair or replace it. Their Aqua Flare is a much better light. It's brighter, similarly priced, and the cone can be removed to use it as a minimal flshlight. A few dollars more will get you a functional light. Skip the Eco Flare.

Comments about Princeton Tec, Eco Flare:

I have one and bought one for my brother I use it as a backup safety light the out put is low however at night it does give a pretty good blink that can be seen for a good little bit underwater it does good as a marker, while no where near the brightness of a strobe it is smaller, lighter, and burns longer....

Comments about Princeton Tec, Eco Flare:

Nice reliable light. I've never had a problem. You won't use it to see underwater (you need a real light for that), but its used for safety.

Comes with both a solid white & a red flashing bulb (interchangeable).

Comments about Princeton Tec, Eco Flare:

Just received a second replacement Eco flare and like the first there doesn't seem to be an incandescent function. The product description says the unit has both a flashing function and a krypton bulb for continuous output. At this point only the flashing function works ... Frustrating.
