DESCRIPTION

Whats in the box:Light, Wrist Lanyard, Spare Bulb and Instruction Sheet

The Nemo 4300 is the ultimate dive light. The 4300 has an unbreakable ABS body with thermoplastic over-molded accents and polycarbonate lens. It uses a clever magnetic switch that operates outside of the body to prevent leaking. The switch can be easily removed for washing off sand and dirt. Pelican's unique battery compartment design allows for optimal space utilization and negative buoyancy. A spare Xenon lamp is included and stored underneath the reflector. The 4300 is a 12-Volt light, submersible to 330' (100 meters) and powered by 8 C alkaline cells (not included).

The Nemo 4300's Hi-Intensity Xenon Lamp produces 175 Lumens of Brightness with a Burn Time of 6 Hours on a new set of batteries. The Light has a Pistol Grip Handle with a Rubber Sleeved Adjustable Wrist Lanyard. Light is Depth Rated to 500' (150 meters), measures 7.5" (19 cm) long and weighs 36.64 oz (1.04 kg) with batteries. Light is available in 3 color choices, and comes with an Instruction Sheet.

I find the size, weight and shape to be perfect. It really is the smallest 8C light out there! I prefer the intuitive rocking switch compared to the switches of competing brands. The switch lock is also easier to toggle. The lamp disassembles quickly for access to batteries and bulb. Though it comes with a lanyard, I purchased a retractor to go along with it for easier handling. The light output is not as white, but plenty bright for both night dives and daytime use. The xenon bulb will get quite hot, so use out of water is not recommended. If you don’t mind extra size, weight, and cost (plus the hefty bulb price) the UK Cannon 100 would be a better choice for you – however, I’m sticking to this Nemo.

This light pretty much just lives up to expectations. I currently own 8 of them. I am an instructor and technical diver. The light is pretty much a work horse for night diving class. It is not the best or brightest but is a solid light for the money. This is a great light for the average recreational diver who is only gonna make a few night dives a year in relatively clear water. I have had a few floods and bad bulbs over the years but the light is solid and a good value. I do recommend this lights to students and have had good feedback on it.

Comments about Pelican Nemo 4300 Submersible Flashlight:

I bought this light to be my primary, but after comparing it to my instructor's LED light, it quickly became my backup. I like the design and durability but for the price, it could be much brighter.

Comments about Pelican Nemo 4300 Submersible Flashlight:

Bought Two, One leaked at 18' LP replaced no problem there. Replacement leaked at 30' again no problem w/LP. Now I use silicon emergency tape over lens cover and body, small inconvenience, but for the price, it has great lighting.

      Service and delivery comments:

Quick delivery, well packaged, and L/P was very prompt with replacing water damaged lights
