This product is named after the ancient name of the Italian island Sardinia. The inventor and designer of this product is Mariano Satta, good friend and great Sardinian spear fisherman. His dedicated work and continuous tests have resulted in what can be considered one of the very few surface boards solely conceived for spear fishing. The body of the board is manufactured from a highly corrosion and impact resistant polypropylene using rotational molding. The board has a wall thickness of 0.15 inch (4mm) and a total weight of around 11lbs (5 kgs). It is virtually unbreakable. The dimensions are 35.5x18 inches (90x45cm). The board features a protrusion under the prow and two centre boards to increase its floatability and ease maneuvering when in tow. A highly corrosion resistant stainless steel eyebolt is attached with a stainless steel nut to the bottom of the board to accommodate an anchor line. The board is delivered witha glove-fitting, TPU coated Nylon cover, featuring various hooks and loops to attach the spear fishing equipment. On top of the cover there is also a large detachable pocket for fish storing. Shardana is delivered with its own flag, nylon line and Omer line winder.
