DESCRIPTION

Whats in the box:Match 50 reel (with line), A 6.5mm diameter America shark-fin shaft with rest tab, One Power 18 circular sling.

CAYMAN HF SPEARGUN The new handle and HF aluminum barrel are the new trademarks of Omer's 2007 speargun line. The muzzle, open or closed, is also new and it allows the use of a single or double rubbers. The bridge on top of the muzzle is cast in stainless steel and it is removable. The Cayman HF is available in the following sizes 75cm, 90cm, 95cm, 100cm and 110cm.

CAYMAN HANDLE This speargun handle is new, featuring ergonomic and mechanically innovative characteristics. The trigger mechanism is ultra sensitive and extremely resistant to high band loads. When palming the handle, the position of the hand is high in relation to the shaft, allowing quick aiming and great absorption of recoil. The line release is manufactured in diecast stainless steel and positioned on the side, allowing it to be used also with a reel. The safety is also positioned on the side and the reel guide is very slim allowing the space between the reel and the barrel to be reduced to the minimum. The Cayman handle features two chest protectors in different dimensions (interchangeable) and two ergonomic handles for both right handed and left handed (upon request).

CAYMAN HF BARREL This barrel is manufactured by pioneering the technology of hydroforming aluminum for spearguns. Omersub is the first to apply this technology to the field of spearfishing. The result is a barrel featuring a revolutionary geometry which allows great floatability (thanks to greater internal volume) stability in the water and hydrodynamics. All these result in great shooting accuracy. The technical characteristics of the barrel are not comparable to anything on the market today. Our tests show stiffness is 33% higher compared to any other standard cylindrical carbon fiber barrel.

Comes with: a Match 50 reel (with line), a 6.5mm diameter America shark-fin shaft with rest tab and one Power 18 circular sling.

Comments about Omersub Cayman HF Speargun:

Gun is very well constructed. I see no reason why this gun will not last 10+ years. I have the 110cm model and it has excellent power and range up to 14ft. The 18mm x 64mm band that is recommended for this length has plenty of power and is actually quite difficult to load to the last notch on the shaft. The hydroform aluminum body definitely increases the stiffness and rigidity of the gun which adds in accurate shooting and maneauverability through the water. All in all, if you want a gun to hunt small to medium size fish then this is a great gun.

Comments about Omersub Cayman HF Speargun:

I have been up and down california and hawaii with this gun. I own the 90cm model, it's a good mesh for inside and outside the kelp beds. The handle is very ergonomic and it comes with weight inserts to adjust bouyancy. It is exceptional. I modified the shooting line a bit, but I love the reel. Sharkfin tabs on the shaft expedite loading and make it considerably easier than the basic cayman, which I also own. This is my 3rd Omer gun, hands down lighter, faster, more accurate and better build than american guns that I own. The only con to this gun is that its so good, I can't modify it like I have to for all my other guns, its too good.

Comments about Omersub Cayman HF Speargun:

The single stock rubber is too stiff, difficult to load, and produces noise that startles fish when fired. This results in reduced accuracy for longer range shots. Changing to a slightly softer rubber with two bands and a cord type wishbone [$] has made this gun more powerful, easier to load, and quieter. This gun now shoots like a dream. A heavier shaft would reduce the slight tendancy for the muzzle to float, though not excessive. The trigger action is smoother and lighter than any other speargun I have experienced with this level of power. With the above modifications, I give my highest recommendation for those desiring an aluminum body gun. The hydroformed shape is also very appealing. Though not cheap, this gun is quality through and through!
