DESCRIPTION
You just found a 20lbs davenport anchor and can't figure out how you can get this prize back to the surface. You need a lift bag. You never know what you're going to find on a dive that is worth money, so always pack a lift bag when you go diving. OMS offers Lift Bags and Marker Buoy's with manual dump valves and unique "non-air spill" openings that prevent lift bag from dumping air or taking on water when it hits the surface. All Lift bags have a point of attachment for a slate. This Lift/Marker Buoy is compact yetversatile as a Safety Sausage or a small Lift bag

Nice marker buoy!

Nice, large surface buoy; in this case size definitely matters.
Only a couple minor criticisms:
1) there's no strap to secure it for storage while diving, so I jerry-rigged my own with a clip to hook it to my BC; and
2) the purge valve sits about 18" from the bottom of the buoy. No problem, except when you try to roll it up for your dive - placement in another area (if possible) would certainly have benefited in making it a smaller rolled package.
Other than that, it's a great product.

Need Velcro strap

Good product, but you need to be prepared to keep it in a mesh bag or attach your own strap to keep it secured while not in use.

      After buying several of these bags I can say that I expected a better product. The biggest problem is if you are underwater the air does not go into the bag for inflation. I had to modify each bag cutting a small hole in the inside plastic peace. I went to a different bag in the end.

      Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

        I deployed this SMB from depths of 45 meters to use as a platform for deco stops while technical diving. Great surface visibility in surface swells. Boat drivers had no problem locating my position using this SMB.
