Comments about Oceanic P.S.D. Personal Safety Device:

Simple to use and valve is adjustable to seal air in and prevent bumping it causing a loss in pressure. Leg/waist strap comes in handy once on the surface to keep hands free. Have not tried to see if the valve will dump air when it reaches over pressure.

Comments about Oceanic P.S.D. Personal Safety Device:

I bought one of these after I witnessed a real life missing diver situtation... Several boats searched for over an hour and the missing divers were found about 2 miles from where we were picked up.

I have an older version, with a couple hundred ddives on it now and it has performed great. My only complaint is that it's starting to fade, so I would suggest drying them in the shade after rinsing.

Mine does not have an over-pressure relief valve, and I don't see one in the pictures for the current version, so I'm not sure what the other reviewer is talking about id deflating. (there is a screw lock on the inflator, maybe he couldn't figure it out?)

I've never used the zipper-necklace feature. That looks like a goofy gimick. I'd just as soon they got rid of that and moved the valve to the bottom so you can roll and deflate at the same time.... but those are minor quibbles.

Comments about Oceanic P.S.D. Personal Safety Device:

I ordered 2 of these, one for my wife and one for myself. Upon opening the package, the valve on one was already broken, and would not hold air. The second one was functional, but the valve is very cheap, and poorly designed. It can be deflated very simply with a casual depression of the valve. Also, the valve limits the pressure you can inflate the device to, thus yielding, at max, a semi-rigid PSD, which can easily "flop" if you were to try to hold it up, or wave it at all. This is trash, and not something I would trust my life to. They are being returned immediately.
