Comments about Oceanic OP 3X3 Divers LED Flashlight:

I have only used this light on one dive, but I would say that it appears to be very rugged. The beam is very wide, which is both good and bad. It lights up a pretty wide area, but it is not lit up intensely as it would be with a narrower beam. It is too heavy to use as a backup light (in my opinion) so I will use it as my primary with a very small (but intense) light as a backup.

This is a good light for the price.

Comments about Oceanic OP 3X3 Divers LED Flashlight:

Although I havent used this light on a dive it seems to be well made. Sturdy and heavy, seals look good. 3 leds in the head have a very focused beam. A little larger than I thought it would be, even though I knew it used 3 c's. I'm glad I got it on sale because I would have been disappointed if I had purchased it at normal price. Even though it is supposed to be 300 lumens, my 200 lumen Tusa light is almost as bright with a much cleaner, wider circle of light. All in all a good light for my arsenal, but probably as a backup or for a friend.

Dropped mine off a platform in the Gulf. Luckily I had my Rayovac spare and was able to find it. Not sure which one is better of the two, but you'll have a hard time finding similar performance at a higher price.

Comments about Oceanic OP 3X3 Divers LED Flashlight:

I used a friend's Hollis light--same as the Oceanic--and was suitably impressed. It's not quite as powerful as my canister light, but is still pretty good. The best thing I can say about this is the light seems very, very solid, and you don't have to worry about breaking and replacing a $60-80 HID bulb, which is awfully fragile. I've always used an UK Light Cannon as a primary and later (when I got the Halcyon light) as a backup. This seems to be an adequate replacement for the Light Cannon. Also, it should travel very well, and only uses three C batteries. So far, so good.
