DESCRIPTION
The M2 RGBM is the most complete and easy-to-use dive computer on the market, both for recreational and technical diving. Thanks to the brand new Mares-Wienke RGBM Algorithm, the first to introduce Deep Stops, it noticeably improves dive safety margins.

All the information you need at a glance, for safe and worry-free diving.

The M2 Dive Computer from Mares features all the characteristics required by th e most demanding divers, plus much, much more. The M2 is the most complete and easy to use dive computer for both recreational and technical diving. Use with Nitrox or Air. Plus, the M2 also has a "bottom time" mode for use as a standalone digital depth gauge and timer. This feature is ideal for freediving and use with custom tables.

  • Optional IRIS (Infra-Red Interface System) PC Interface for uploading logbook dives to a PC in order to optionally store and organize the data, compute statistics, simulate dives and personalize the logbook file. The Infrared interface eliminates the need for special connections providing a simple, reliable ultra-modern data transfer system.

More Con's than Pro's

The Screen is relatively easy to read (despite my Old Eyes), however you have to read the manual to figure out how the Backlight function Can be enabled. The poorly written(ie: confusing) manual, only contributes to the frustration of trying to figure out how to utilize the functions of this Non-Intuitive computer. As my experience has grown, I have found that the lack of Nitrogen Load meter is a major shortcoming. In between dives I have to break out the Manual to figure out where I stand for my next dives - I end up just going back to the handy Dive Table - It's much easier to use than this thing.

One big reason I bought this unit is because of it's PC interface.....Problem is - It don't work!

Bottom line - The Price was right, and it's adaquate for the first dive of they day, but the non-intuitive setup and difficult to understand manual cause me to dig out my RDP Dive Tables to plan my subsequent dives. I'm going to end up getting a better(and more expensive) one sooner rather than later and use this for my backup computer. Then my wife will kill me for wasting my $$ on this one. (who said SCUBA ain't dangerous)

Overall I'm pleased w/this computer,I haven't used it to it's max.apps. yet which is ok it's good to have a reliable computer that I can grow onto w/in my dive profiles.

    Have only had it out on 2 dives. All worked fine except for the fact that I cannot adjust my own safety margin, and in particular where I like my safety stop. For example, after a deco dive, it wanted me to spend 15-20 min at 10', in choppy waters hanging onto a line you can easily be pulled up and down 6-8'. I'd prefer my stop at 20' but it spends its time constantly telling you to go to a shallower depth. It is a bit annoying. Beyond that it is all that was expected, and has air/nitrox capability which is a plus. COmes with an extremely long wrist/leg band that can be easilyt cut to fit your needs.

    Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

      This computer is all you need. It has all the functions that most divers will ever need. My favorite feature is the user replaceable batteries. All it takes are AAA batteries that you can get in any country or island.

      works well it is just hard to get it set on one function. You push it and get it where you want it and then you push to go through that function and it goes to the next. same with tryin to turn on the light instead of the light comin on it will go through functions. It does work very well for the money!!!! I would buy it again.
