I bought these for an ice diving class. They go on very easily and were quite warm. The palms have thinner neoprene and allow for lots of dexterity.

My only complaint is that the wrist seals were a bit loose. Perhaps my drysuit seals interfered with a good seal, but a little water intruded on one of my wrists, but only when my wrist wasn't straight. It was not enough to make my wrist cold, but these otherwise VERY warm gloves had a little coolness there.

Bottom line: They worked great for ice diving, even when I was in the water for over an hour, so they are very much up to the task!

I chose these 6mm to make sure they'd be warm, but I am disappointed with the purchase. I gave up using them because they are so thick I feel I cannot use my fingers at all. Do not purchase if you are going to need your hands for anything.

Comments about Mares 6/4 mm Trilastic Gloves:

Very thick so they're very warm. Dove at 50*F and didn't remember thinking about my hands getting cold. The thickness is a little hard to deal with (putting them on, working on gears...) but trade off to be warm is worth it.

Love them so much I bought another pair 3/2 for regular day diving and use this 6/4 for night or very cold day.

Comments about Mares 6/4 mm Trilastic Gloves:

Great gloves!! Used in cold deep water lake dives at over 100' and 54 degree's F and not a problem. They do take some getting used to due to the thickness but several shallow dives for practice and its a non issue. I liked these so much several of my dive buddies picked up a pair as well.

These are the most comfortable gloves ive found. I buy a pair as soon as mine get old. I use them for cold water spearfishing 33-45 degrees here in the Northeast
