Supernova is what the name implies. Very bright with a powerful wide angle beam (49 +/-3 degrees), this torch is ideal for diving, video, search/rescue, boating and much more. Three rechargeable18650 lithium-Ion batteries provide consistent, 500 lumen of illumination with a Color Temperature of 6500-7500K. The Supernova 25 Watt 3 CREE Q3 LED will give up to 100,000 hours of use. The lantern grip allows for easy hand held usage and the 3 position push switch provides full power, 30% power and emergency strobe. Durable 6061-T6 anodized aluminum construction make this rugged torch the choice when max illumination is needed.

The Supernova can be used on two light settings of full 500 lumens and a second position for 180 lumens. Charge time is approximately 2.5 to 3 hours and gives a burn time of about 3.5 hours at full power and more than 10 hours at 30% setting. Light is waterproof with O-ring seals and is depth rated to 400' (122 meters).

Kit comes with convenient carry case and contains the Supernova, battery charger, four adapter plugs (US, Europe, Asia, and Australia), charger port cover key, video mount, hex wrench, lanyard, Quick Start Guide, and (2) replacement O-rings for battery compartment.

Comments about Intova Supernova 25 Watt LED 500 Lumens Torch:

THIS LIGHT IS WORTH MORE THAN [$] WHICH IS A LITTLE HIGHER THAN WHEN THEY FIRST WERE OFFERED. BASED ON THE QUALITY AND COSTS INVOLVED IN MAKING THE LIGHT ID EASILY EXPECT IT TO RUN $380.THERE IS A LIGHT WITH SIMILAR OUTPUT MADE BY A MORE WELL KNOWN MFG THAT RUNS ABOUT $300 OR SO IT IS MADE OF CAST ALUM AND RUNS ON MULTIPLE AA BATTERIES. THIS SUPER NOVA ON THE OTHER HAND HAS A SINGLE L ION BATTERY YOU JUST UNSCREW A HIGH QUALITY STAINLESS PLUG AT THE BACK OF UNIT AND PLUG IN THE CHARGER TERMINAL THEN PLUG CHARGER INTO THE WALL.FREE POWER AND HIGH OUTPUT OF THE SUPERIOR L ION BATTEY TYPE VS MESSING WITH A MULTITUDE OF AA BATTERIES FORM THE LIGHTS OF SOME SIMILAR PRICED COMPETITORS. THE LIGHT ITSELF IS 6061 BILLET MACHINED ALLOY ALUM. THIS IS A LIGHT THAT WOULD MAKE A NAVY SEAL HAPPY.IT HAS MORE OF A "ONE OFF" FEEL TO IT THAN THE FEEL OF A COOKIE CUTTER MASS PRODUCED LIGHT. LIGHTS LIKE THIS ARE THE WAY TO GO AND THE WAVE OF THE FUTURE. GO SUPER NOVA ! WHAT ELSE? I WOULDNT BOTHER WAITING AROUD FOR PRICES ON THIS LIGHT TO GO DOWN TO THEIR INITIAL OFFERING. IF ANYTHING [$] IS STILL A BIT LOW AND A BIT OF A BARGAIN.THESE FLEW OFF THE SHELVES SEVERAL MOS AGO AND YOU COULDNT GET EM ANYWERE AT ALL. GET EM NOW WHILE THEY ARE IN STOCK

The 500 lumens are for real, great luminosity. At 100%, it´s so intense you have to be careful with it.

Comments about Intova Supernova 25 Watt LED 500 Lumens Torch:

I have used the lamp in dark water and the wide angle of beam is not bad there, though it could be adjustable. Good thing is also that the lamp has chargeable li-ion batteries of sufficient capacity. Quality/price ratio is good.

Wide angle light for wide angle applications. This means close range. Great for lighting up the inside of a wreck or deep hole/cave without having to scan around. Very perfect circular spot without any distortions. Long battery life and rechargeable.

Comments about Intova Supernova 25 Watt LED 500 Lumens Torch:

I purchased this light as a
main dive light, when I fired
it up for the first time I was
        expecting a nice tight bright
beam. What I got was somewhat
of a wide flood, not too bright
        as when thinking 500 lumens.
This light is great in clear
water, but you get in 10'ft
of viz or less and it don't
cut through the muck, so it
        has very little throwing power
        due to the wide flood.
Great for video or aiming light,
but I would not recommend this
light as a main dive light.
Hot spot is 36" at 4'ft!
Also, when you push the switch
it turns on 100%, when you push
it again it turns off. When you
turn it on then hold the switch
down for 3 seconds it turns on low.
So, no pushing the button 5 times
to get it to shut off!
