Dive into underwater photography with this compact and simple to use combination. The Compact Digital housing is high quality, durable, built to last, and backed by Ikelite's long-standing reputation for excellence. Housing is made of clear injection-molded polycarbonate to provide seamless construction and corrosion proof performance. This "Clearly Superior" design provides full view of the camera, control functions. All controls are mechanical, sealed with Quad-Ring seal glands and assurance the system is safe up to depths of 200' (60 meters).
All camera controls except the Custom Button are fully functional through the housing. Easy open latch and drop in camera loading make set-up a breeze. 12-24 threaded mounts on the bottom of the housing allow for the secure attachment of optional trays and lighting accessories. Housing measures 6.8" (17.3 cm) wide, 5" (12.7 cm) high, and 6.3" (16 cm) deep includes controls. Housing weighs 2.9 lb (1.32 kg) above water and is near neutral underwater. Housing includes a 1cc tube of silicone lubricant, vinyl port cover, flash diffuser, flash deflector and Instruction Manual.
External Color Filters: Color filters replace some of the reds, oranges and more natural tones that would otherwise be lost underwater. Removable external color filters IK644146for tropical blue water and IK644186 for green water settings provide color correction in sunny conditions up to approximately 80' (24 meters). For use without a flash filters sold separately.
Camera's Built-in Flash: The included flash diffuser improves lighting quality when the camera's built-in flash is used. A built-in flash is effective between1'-3' (0.3-0.9 meters) from the subject in clear conditions. For best results an external underwater strobe is recommended.
External Underwater Strobes: Ikelite strobes are much more powerful, recycle more quickly, and eliminate more backscatter than the camera's built-in flash. The AutoFlash AF35 (SKU: IK4035) is the easiest and most affordable way to add a strobe to your system. Don't settle for flat, blue-green images. The AF35 is effective up to approximately 5' (1.5 meters) from the subject and restores the colors that are otherwise lost. An external strobe will give you the best results in all conditions.
Pro-V8 LED Video Lite: The Pro-V8 LED IK6320 can be used for additional lighting when using the camera's movie mode and to aid in focus use with or without a color filter.
External Accessory Lenses: The Ikelite WD-4 Wide Angle Dome #6430.4 is compatible for wide angel photography and with the use of the IK930682 port adapter may be used to attach 67mm threaded macro lenses.
Tray and Handle Assemblies Aluminum trays with release handle(s) provide stability underwater and attachment point(s) for external lighting and accessories. The unique Ikelite release handle allows easy attachment and removal of arm components at the touch of a button for added convenience above and below water. Placement of release handles does not interfere with the opening and closing of housings. Either the IK952361 Single Handle Tray or IK952362 Dual Handle Tray is compatible.
