The SpD System provides several innovative design and safety features. The battery packs do not contain a switch to eliminate any chance of an explosive electrical spark during use. The switch is contained in the SpD-AA and SpD-11 Diving Lite Heads, or in the connecting cord for the Video Lite Head. Combining packs requires only the addition of the jumper cable.
