Henderson's Exclusive H2 -Ultra Soft - Low Modulus - Extended Memory Foam rubber with Titanium lining is simply the best, most comfortable and technically advanced hood material available anywhere. H2 offers the same 250% stretch as with the original Hyperstretch but with a revolutionary interior and exterior fabric laminate called Aquasilk. This exclusive combination of rubber and fabric provides the same great stretch which made traditional Hyperstretch so popular, but with a bit more compression to keep the Hood from ballooning. Ballooning, caused by excessive stretch, may allow cold water entry during initial surface entries.

The Exclusive Aquasilk advancement in synthetic fabric technology provides the pill resistant and rugged durability required for the dive environment with an ultra soft and supple "hand" found traditionally in natural fabrics. H2 hood is 7/5mm in thickness, has glued and sewn seams and flow vent to release trapped air.

      It does feel like an upgrade over the original Hyperstretch line, although there doesn't seem to be a huge difference. The neck for the XL hood seems very wide on my neck, at least, but this hasn't been too much of an issue yet, even in pretty cold water.

      I bought this as an upgrade since I moved to the west coast. I also use the Henderson thermoprene 7mm wetsuit so I thought this hood would be great. It is so much better than my older hood, slides on and off pretty easily, very little water movement while diving, and perfect face room for mask. Right now I think this hood is just slightly too tight, but I think going one size up would be way too big. I am hoping that I just need to break it in a little bit and it will be perfect. This hood is so stretchy you can probably even double up another hood underneath (I'm not going to try this until my hood is broken in a little more.) I also love how much hood there is to tuck into your wetsuit, it really helps prevent water movement. Overall, fantastic hood, and a really reasonable price.

        I am very pleased with this hood. Took it diving for the first time in Kuwait. Water was 15 C at the surface. First dive was to 27 meters and was surprised when I saw that my compiter said it was only 6 C. Was wearing this hood, a 5mm wetsuit, boots and gloves and never would have guessed it was so cold in the water. Definitely a great buy.

            Hood kept me much warmer than other "warm" hoods in 43 degree water. Was also much more comfortable. Easy on and off but still snug enough to do the job. I have recommended this to others.
