    Good choice for travel

Light & easy to pack. Very good at trim adjustment - positions diver easily. I've enjoyed owning this BC and recommend it to others who travel to warm water.

I have 100 dives on it and the weight pockets are torn (toast). Probably because of the demands of research diving. This BC is NOT a good first, a good first should be JACKET STYLE. Back inflate BC's (like this one) are great and streamlined underwater, but tend to turn you on your face when you are bobing at the surface. For the price, this BC is fine, but if plan to dive a lot, spend the extra money on a tough BC or a backplate.

Comments about Genesis Tropic BCD Black:

It is comfortable, easily adjusted and travels well. It is good for warm water dives but will not hold enough weight for me with a 7mm full suit in cold water.

Comments about Genesis Tropic BCD Black:

great BC for the price! its perfect for any kind of diving. the only thing is that i wish there are 2 valves to dump the air, not just one in the bottom. (some BC i have seen has another valve on the right shoulder also.)

Comments about Genesis Tropic BCD Black:

This is a really good BCD. The weight pockets (CQR2)are well designed with zippers instead of velcro. Placement of the pockets is easily reached without having to look for the zipper lanyards. The steel D-rings are nice and of course it's pro kit ready. Relatively light but very sturdy. Dual tank straps keep the tank from slipping. If you're looking for a rear inflated BCD this is a great choice and you can't beat it for the price.
