DESCRIPTION

Whats in the box:Computer Module, Owner's Manual and Battery Hatch Key

You have an analog console, but want to incorporate a dive computer to increase your diving fun and adventures. The Genesis ReSource Pro Computer Module can up-grade your console and increase your diving safety and fun. Computer will fit both Genesis and Sherwood current consoles.

The ReSource Pro has an intuitive operation and display, with large easy to read numbers and a clean matter-of-fact screen that gives you what you need to know about your dive when you need it. Computer can be used for air and nitrox diving, and has a gauge mode option. The module measures 1" (25.4mm) thick by 2.1" (53.34) in diameter.

The ReSource Pro can be programmed easily to operate in either imperial or metric measurements. The computer is water activated so there is no need to turn it on before you jump in the water. The computer has a common CR2450 consumer replaceable battery, guaranteeing you won't be on a once in a lifetime tropical vacation with a computer that needs factory battery replacement.

Computer can log up to 50 dives in its memory, so not to worry on a day-by-day bases when you're on vacation having fun, just wait to you get home. Night diving is aided with the HydroGlow back lighting which also comes in handy when on a cave or wreck diving adventure. If altitude diving is your thing the computer will automatically adjust up to 14, 000' (4267.2 meters).

Maximum operational depth is 250' (76.2 meters), there is an automatic safety stop countdown timer and of course full decompression stop countdowns as deep as40' (12.2 meters) when required. Computer has both digital and bar graph indicators for nitrogen, oxygen limits and ascent rate.

When diving the ReSource Pro computer it will display your dive time remaining (NDL), your current depth and in a bar graph form nitrogen loading and current ascent rate. If decompression is required you will see a bar graph indicating your deepest stop required, total ascent time, stop time and depth of stop, current depth and an up arrow indicating need to ascend to the stop depth. So if you're looking for a great entry level computer the ReSource is what you are looking for.

the last one I bought was about 10 years ago, and it still works as my spare computer. It is easy to use and needs no maint. except cleaning and batteries. the new one uses a different battery, but the unit still works the same as the old one,and is very easy to read.I dont use any special gasses, just compressed air, so this one works fine.I use it in freshwater springs and lakes or salt water with no difference. PS-my brother still has one ,and it still works fine.

I bought this puck for my console. On arrival, everything worked fine. There's only one button so you just scroll and go. Set-up was fairly easy. Manual didn't seem to complicated to follow.

I took it on a series of easy, warm water, boat dives. On entry it turned on automatically. At depth it showed the NDL, bars, graphs, temp, countdown safety stop and so on. Back on the surface it showed the SI, etc.

When I got home and tried to access the dive log feature - I couldn't. I took it to the LDS with the manual to see if they could access it - in case I was doing it wrong. They were most helpful but even they couldn't access the log.

So after only 6 dives - this little puck doesn't operate the way it should. Everything was good - it just didn't log the dives.

Comments about Genesis "Resource Pro" Computer Module:

Bought this computer in 1996 as a new diver. It finally died on me in 2010 after >150 dives. I'm an advanced, open water recreational diver that goes on at least one week long trip per year, sometimes two. This computer worked great for me the entire time I had it. My husband also has one and his is still going strong. I am buying a new one of this same model since this is a great price and I'm already familiar with how it works. The only thing that is a little difficult is when you are accessing your dive log info, you have to hold the button in order to "freeze" it on a dive so you can record it in your log... if your finger or thumb gets tired and slips off the button, you have to start all over.

Comments about Genesis "Resource Pro" Computer Module:

I had no problems with the computer. I'm not a very experienced diver, a few years with a one week dive vacation per year in warm, clear water. The main function I was looking for was the deco time, surface interval and time to fly. I got all of that. I did have a hard time deciphering the imformation that was displayed on the surface. I sat with a dive master and he explained a lot of it. I did not feel that the manual was adequate. The price was great.
