the last one I bought was about 10 years ago, and it still works as my spare computer. It is easy to use and needs no maint. except cleaning and batteries. the new one uses a different battery, but the unit still works the same as the old one,and is very easy to read.I dont use any special gasses, just compressed air, so this one works fine.I use it in freshwater springs and lakes or salt water with no difference. PS-my brother still has one ,and it still works fine.

I had no problems with the computer. I'm not a very experienced diver, a few years with a one week dive vacation per year in warm, clear water. The main function I was looking for was the deco time, surface interval and time to fly. I got all of that. I did have a hard time deciphering the imformation that was displayed on the surface. I sat with a dive master and he explained a lot of it. I did not feel that the manual was adequate. The price was great.

Comments about Genesis "Resource Pro" In-Line Computer Console with Compass, CG2259:

It has many features, logs and information....too much for just one button. hard to go through all the different screens, can´t go back. Underwater poor screen visibility, above water the cover gets easily clouded.

Comments about Genesis "Resource Pro" In-Line Computer Console with Compass, CG2259:

Great computer, be it your first, your last, or both. The price is right considering that the compass is included and not separate like most other in line consoles. Shows accurate depth, deco stops (CORRECTION) down to 60 ft, ascent rate, time to fly, nitrogen bar graph, time, bottom time, NDL, log, etc. so abundant on features. It was way better than I expected and in my opinion a separate gauge displaying remaining air is better and provides more info at a glance then a more expensive air integrated computer. This is all you need and should work great for any recreational diving. Highly recommend it!

This is the best general use console on the market for the price. I bought this for a secondary regulator/octo, for when friends come visit and dive with me.
If I had been on a budget or a relatively new diver, I would have bought this as a primary, hands-down.

Comments about Genesis "Resource Pro" In-Line Computer Console with Compass, CG2259:

Bought this computer in 1996 as a new diver. It finally died on me in 2010 after >150 dives. I'm an advanced, open water recreational diver that goes on at least one week long trip per year, sometimes two. This computer worked great for me the entire time I had it. My husband also has one and his is still going strong. I am buying a new one of this same model since this is a great price and I'm already familiar with how it works. The only thing that is a little difficult is when you are accessing your dive log info, you have to hold the button in order to "freeze" it on a dive so you can record it in your log... if your finger or thumb gets tired and slips off the button, you have to start all over.
