Good, Basic Dive Computer-Not Too Fancy

About Me Advanced
Comments about Genesis Resource Pro Computer Console:
Bought this computer in 1996 as a new diver. It finally died on me in 2010 after >150 dives. I'm an advanced, open water recreational diver that goes on at least one week long trip per year, sometimes two. This computer worked great for me the entire time I had it. My husband also has one and his is still going strong. I am buying a new one of this same model since this is a great price and I'm already familiar with how it works. The only thing that is a little difficult is when you are accessing your dive log info, you have to hold the button in order to "freeze" it on a dive so you can record it in your log... if your finger or thumb gets tired and slips off the button, you have to start all over.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

About Me Casual/ Recreational
I had no problems with the computer. I'm not a very experienced diver, a few years with a one week dive vacation per year in warm, clear water. The main function I was looking for was the deco time, surface interval and time to fly. I got all of that. I did have a hard time deciphering the imformation that was displayed on the surface. I sat with a dive master and he explained a lot of it. I did not feel that the manual was adequate. The price was great.
Great Computer for the budget shopper!
About Me Recreational Diver
I was pleasantly surprised by this computer. I picked it up as part of a package, and found it to have better functionality than the similiar computers I've seen by other brands. Very impressed!

Resource Pro worked as advertised...what more can you ask for. It did, however, arrive with a dead battery.

I am very happy with this computer. It is very easy to use both above and below the surface. Numbers are large and easy to read. Has everything you need and nothing you don't. the compass is an added bonus. Only con is the provided battery needed to be replaced after about 25 dives. the user manual states that the battery should live for more than 150 dives. Otherwise a great recreational computer.
