DESCRIPTION

Whats in the box:Octopus, LP Hose

The XS octopus is a lightweight, high performance second stage regulator. The XShas a venturi switch which will help control the sensitivity of the regulator when not in use, yet when switched from the pre-dive to dive position the regulators performance will increase.

The XS octopus is equipped with a 33" (84 cm) hose, has a yellow front cover for easy identification in an out of air situation. The regulator has a soft and comfortable silicone mouthpiece and the housing is made of durable hi-tech polymers.

    I have used this Octo for over a year as a Dive Master and on my own trips. It functions perfectly, is easy to adjust, and the flow adjustment actually works. My wife has used in pool and open water practice (Bonaire) and really likes it. I am buying her one as well. I spoke to a service rep at Cressi who told me it is actually built for 50% O2. So it is way above standard for enriched air diving.

    I have an issue with this equipment every time I dive. For the most part it's a good solid octo, when it's in your mouth. But no matter how I adjust the the thing it manages to free flow or have a solid leak of air almost every time I dive. The unit is brand new and I'm not impressed at all. My reg is a delta 4 and ofcourse there is no comparison but you still expect it to function properly.My advice is spend a few extra bucks and save yourself the headache.

          My wife and I are using rental gear every now and then at Sandals Jamaica. I trust my own regulators more than rental gear. Our BCs have ScubaPro Air 2s on them so we needed to add to the octopus to use the rental BC safely. This will do the job nicely as a backup.
