DESCRIPTION

Whats in the box:Pair of Cressi Pro Light Fins

Pro Light is more powerful, and is easy to use than any fin on the market. The unique polypropylene blade material provides a variable flex that adjusts during the kicking cycle. The blade is extremely flexible and has snap requiring less kicking effort. The side stringers that extend all along the blade and two flaps situated along the end of the blade itself make the fin very directional.

Cressi-sub was the first company to recognize the performance value of the foot pocket. The Pro Light's foot pocket is made of a comfortable elastomer material and is computer designed to give ideal transmission of leg-fin thrust the blade becomes a true extension of your leg. The blade originates from the upper part of the foot pocket, with a 20% increase in useful surface area compared to a traditional fin of the same length. The unique foot pocket design keeps the diver's heel from extending over the end of the foot pocket. This transfers the kicking load to the diver's heel, rather than the middle of the foot and eliminates foot fatigue and cramping. Pro light's foot pocket is extra wide with soft expansion sides for extreme comfort. Fin is equipped with impact and corrosion resistant quick-release buckles with quality rubber straps.

All of these high performance features are packaged in a fin that weighs 35% less than conventional fins. Pro Light out maneuvers split fin technology, is as attractive as it is effective and costs less than most of the diving fins on the market. The Pro Light is ideal for all levels of experience. Fins are available in sizes: X-Small/Small, Small/Medium, Medium/Large or Large/X-Large come in Blue or Black colors and are covered by a 12 month limited warranty.

I use Cressi Pro Light fins for snorkeling and free diving in rocky tight environments and when entering from shore. Oahu has many areas with razor sharp lava rock that good boots are required. These are great open heel fins for snorkeling and free diving.
They are light, responsive, flexible and take you to the sea floor very fast. I would like a little more response when accelerating, but a stiffer blade would require much more energy over a long day. I am very happy with these fins.

I'm a size 10 so naturally bought the size that ranged from 9-11. The foot pocket is definitely narrow. I have a slightly wider foot. My 5mm boots have a slightly wider sole than some boots, and are tough to get into the foot pocket. Ironically, my 6.5mm boots are easier to get into the foot pocket. Either way, within 10 minutes of diving my feet begin to hurt due to my feet gettin squeezed. I'm learning now after more diving and research that better fins have nicer, more comfortable foot pockets. That will be a priority for my next fin purchase.

These are tough to snorkel in too, I believe due to their stiffness. They tend to kick out of the water while snorkeling. I've been snorkeling for over 20 years and had very cheap fins that were better for this purpose. However, I bought these for scuba, not snorkeling, so not a huge deal, but this may be important to you.

I'll also be looking for a more advanced fin with softer material in the center of the fin for better efficiency.

Then the other day I managed to somehow lose the part of the buckle that attaches to the FIN on one side. I've seen a lot of other reviewers have this problem as well. I'll bite the responsibility on that one though. I threw the fins up onto the rocks at one point, so I'm guessing that's when it popped off. Live and learn.

Comments about Cressi Pro Light Fins:

Got these fins in 2 days ago, went with them today to a spring, I have nothing bad to say about them. They are well-made, i can tell they are durable. The foot pocket is nice, but really requires a boot. I don't recommend to anyone who doesn't have strong legs. These do pack a punch. Very efficient going down to depth, and also not to long for swimming on the surface

Comments about Cressi Pro Light Fins:

When I received these fins, they appeared to be in used condition. There were scratches all over them. I ordered a whole size above my normal foot size (L to XL) to accommodate a 7mm boot. With my boots on, I could not even get my feet in these fins. I do a lot of diving in heavy surf zones where I do not have time to fuss around trying to get my fins on. I returned these fins for a refund. Sadly, I had to pay for shipping so I ended up losing money on this one...
