DESCRIPTION

Whats in the box:Pair of Foot Pockets + Blades

Cressi introduced the Gara Modular Non-Vented Fin in 2012. Its Long Blade with Foot Pocket System makes this a perfect choice for Deep Free Diving and Spear Fishing and for Divers of all levels. The Interchangeable Blade allows the Diver to replace the Interchangeable Blade for Specific Diving Situations which makes this Fin perfect to grow with as the Diver's Skill Level Increases. Any of Cressi's Long Fiberglass or Carbon Fiber Blades can be Interchange in minutes without any modifications. The Self-Adjusting Foot Pocket is constructed with the most modern Multi-Compound joining process to deliver a Foot Pocket that can offer Comfort and Suppleness around the Foot, yet have the Stiffer Compound under the Foot and Heel where Power Transfer takes place.

The Angle of the Blade provides the Ultimate in Efficiency during the Kick Cycle requiring Less-Energy to Load-the Blade. Fin can be Comfortably-Worn with or without Neoprene socks. The Gara Modular Fin is very Lightweight and Reactive and also Well-Adapted for the most Demanding-of-Free-Diving Use. The blade is made from a special reactive thermo-plastic, which is extremely light, and has a blade snap that progressively charges during the fining upward stride to react like a spring at the exact moment the stride is inverted.

This development in fin construction gives the diver increased thrust required to keep up with their prey. A soft elastomer foot pocket anatomically wraps around the foot, surrounding it with a comfortable bite that guarantees perfect transmission of the leg-fin thrust. A solid copolymer hardens some critical zones of the foot pocket and extend along the sides of the foot pocket in two lateral stringers that go halfway down the blade, assisted by special raised bands on the bottom of the blade, these stringers function, is to regulate and harmonize the bending of the blade, at the same time protecting it from shocks and abrasions. Fins are available in 5 Sizes: US (EUR) 5/6 (38/39), 7/8 (40/41), 8/9 (42/43), 10/11 (44/45) or 12/13 (46/47). The Fin is covered by a 12 month limited warranty.

Comments about Cressi Gara Modular Fins:

In my previous review I gave it 5 stars because I used them in the pool and a lake...BUT this past February I used them under heavy Spearfishing conditions on the pacific (Strong currents and lots of kicking). At the end of the 2nd day, they both cracked on the sides (Where your toes stick out). Very, very dissapointed with these high dollar fins, I have had many Cressi fins and NEVER a long fin like this, cracked like that. Cressi people should look at it and reinforce that critical area. Overall and under heavy conditions: SORRY FINS, if you have them, take an spare pair of fins so it doesn't happen what happened to me: Didn't take another pair of fins, thanks to my buddy, I could use his Mares Avanti, otherwise my spearfishing trip would have been "great" thanks to these sorry fins!!
I really hope LP or Cressi take care of my warranty by sending me a different pair of Cressi fins like the Gara Professional LD...

Comments about Cressi Gara Modular Fins:

I only use these fins for spearfishing & freediving because that's what they were made for.
All the foot area is extremely comfortable, softness where you need it and strong where you need to get the power from.
One big addition on these Cressi fins: Interchangeable blades, I hope Cressi starts making the Camo Blades soon...
Long and powerful enough to take you deep and to get you through strong currents. Since the blade is stiff, you should do some trainning before you go for a long dive so your muscles don't hurt.
Overall: Great fin and super comfortable. 5 stars!

Comments about Cressi Gara Modular Fins:

Great power yet not too stiff so as to overly strain the ankles. Way oversized in my opinion. I wore 5 mil booties and they were still a full size too big. Ordered the next size down and they fit great.
