This is heavy duty but when rolled up is only slightly larger than many 6 ft SMBs. I can fill it half full from 15 ft before I have to let go. I can then ascend after my safety stop and fill it to the full 10 ft from just below the surface. It is easy to fill tight at the surface from your regulator exhaust tee using exhaled air.

UPDATE TO PREVIOUS POST--
I was spearfishing off NC coast. We were drift diving. I had several fish on a stringer. I came up and the boat was ½ mile away. Seas were 3-4 foot. Meanwhile a 10 ft tiger shark showed up. I first tried a smaller 6 ft plastic I had previoulsly bought. It was too flimsy and just fell over in the breeze. I brought out the Carter PF-50 and it was the only thing the boat saw. It saved my bacon. I have at least 4 divers that have a PF-50 who all equally rave about this float.

Carter, Thank you for making the only PF on the market that does the job and does so very well. Also made in USA. Great stuff.

Carter use to make a smaller version of this buoy wich has lasted for years of personal use. I bought this for friends. A litle bulky but when needed they do a gret job.
I recently lost the diving boat wich was able to find me thanks to the buoy.

This is a high quality surface buoy. It is durable laminated canvas so the wind won't knock it over like the cheap ones. I recommend the 10' to make sure you are easily seen above waves. Carter makes commercial lift bags. This is not some cheap plastic toy. The other reviewer must be inexperienced and not know how to use (all dump valves are at the bottom). It is a very functional buoy. It could even keep you afloat if your BC developed a leak, maybe saving your life.
