DESCRIPTION
A Silver Pathfinder Watch in a slim design with a titanium band. If you are looking for a watch that can do almost anything for you the Pathfinder will showyou the way! The tough solar powered Pathfinder not only tells you time but features a Digital Compass, Barometer, Altimeter, Thermometer and many other great tools. First, we will look at its regular timekeeper functions.

Watch digitally displays time. It can be set in a 12/24 hour format, has five daily alarms, hourly time signal, countdown timer with measuring units of one second, and a countdown range of one minute to 24 hours along with a countdown alarm function. 1/100 second stopwatch with measuring modes of elapsed time, split time, and 1st and 2nd place time. The stopwatch measuring capacity is 23:59'59.99". Auto calendar which is pre-programmed until the year 2099, button operated tone on/off, watch is accurate +/- 20 seconds per month with no signal calibration, uses a CTL1616 storage battery, and has a battery power indicator and power saver function with an approximate battery life of 5 months on a full charge without further exposure to light.

This atomic timekeeper function receives time calibration radio signals automatically up to six times a day which keep the displayed time accurate, alsohas a manual receiver function; the signal received for the US is WWVB at a frequency of 60 kHz, UK is MSF at 60 kHz, Germany DCF77 at 77.5 kHz, and Japan JJ40/JJY60. Watch gives world time with 29 time zones (30 cities), displaying city code and a daylight saving on/off function. In addition the watch is water resistant to 330' (100 meters), is low temperature resistant to 14°F (-10°C), has an automatic electro-luminescent backlight illuminating the watch for low light conditions.

The altimeter function measures altitudes from -2,300 to 32,800 ft (-700 to 10,000 meters) in measuring units of 20' (5 meters). Altimeter has an auto memory function with up to 40 logged sets of altitude memory including altitude, month, date and time. The altimeter has a high/low altitude memory, cumulative ascent/descent memory, relative altitude display andaltitude tendency and differential graph and graphic.

The Pathfinder also has a built in barometer and thermometer. The barometer has a measuring range of 7.65 inches of mercury (Hg) to 32.45 Hg (260 hectopascals [hPa] to 1,100 hPa), has measuring units of 0.05 inches of mercury (1 hectopascals), with a tendency and differential graph and graphic display of atmospheric pressure. The thermometer has a measuring range of 14 to 140 degreesF (-10 to 60 C) in measuring units of 0.2 F (0.1 C).

You can't get lost when you have your Pathfinder on your wrist with its built incompass. How many times have you been told by someone to go north on Elm then head west on Oak etc, without a compass many of us can get lost. The Pathfinderscompass has 16 points of measurement, with a measuring range of 0 to 359 degreesin units of one degree, a bearing memory with a memory capacity of one record storing direction angle and indicator. This Pathfinder Triple Sensor Watch will lead the way on your next adventure.

After reading several reviews I was cautious about buying this watch. The reviews made it seems like it was easily damaged, non-friendly interface and the bracelet impossible to adjust. Not being a big person, I was also concerned about the size. After three weeks here are my impressions: The size is fine, it is bigger than any other of my watches, but by no means too big or bulky. The bracelet is easily adjustable (though I do have experience in the jewelry business) and sizes down to fit my small wrist with no problem. The interface is easy (I did read the manual) to use and remember. The calibrations worked smoothly and consistently. It seems to be very accurate in its measurements. I have had no problem with the atomic signals and don't even put the watch by a window. I pretty much ignore it as I have it set to auto calibrate. It does every day, mostly on the first attempt. I have banged it several times, getting used to where it is on my wrist. Yes the band has a few scratches. But then it isn't a dress watch is it? I really like it. I think I got my money's worth and then some.

Comments about Casio PAW1300T-7V Silver Slim Atomic-Solar Pathfinder Titanium:

I owned this watch for 3.5 years and never had a problem with it or had to open up the case for any reason. The battery always worked fine. I took it on less than 10 recreational dives and the last one killed it at only about 70'. The watch claims water proof to 10 bars, which is 90m in saltwater, far beyond any recreational depth. The screen went blank underwater and then there was condensation inside after I finished the dive. Since I never opened the case, this was the standard case failing but since the watch is only guaranteed for 1 year, I'm out of luck on a $210 watch.

Comments about Casio PAW1300T-7V Silver Slim Atomic-Solar Pathfinder Titanium:

This watch is a masterpiece of technology. Unfortunately, it has so many features that it is necessary to frequently use all the features, or to keep a copy of the owners manual handy so that one might review the procedures to be able to use them. E.G: I recently took a trip to the eastern US and I forgot how to change the regional time zone city... remember, that it is not possible to reset the time manually as this watch resets itself nightly via the national time standard broadcasts of WWV nightly. Accordingly, I had to find Casio's website for the Pathfinder watches, and to download a 15 page PDF file to be able to have the proper time zone displayed!
That said, I am an engineer and a technophile, I love this watch, complexities and all!

Comments about Casio PAW1300T-7V Silver Slim Atomic-Solar Pathfinder Titanium:

I like all the features, temperature to be accurate the watch must be off your wrist for about 30 min.
The watch automatically updates the time at night.
The barometric graph is helpful to know the weather is changing especially with our weather chinooks.

      Service and delivery comments:

I ordered the watch Wednesday morning and the watch was delivered Thursday supper time overnight and cleared customs only had to pay the government GST.

Comments about Casio PAW1300T-7V Silver Slim Atomic-Solar Pathfinder Titanium:

So I've owned this watch for almost two years now and it has been a wonderful addition to my daily life. I have smaller than avg wrists and the watch is not bulky at all. All of the features function as described. I primarily use the time / timezones / love the barometer / altimeter & compass while hiking, etc. I really enjoy this multifunction time piece and I really have only two slightly negative things to say. The alarm is practically inaudible. do not rely on this thing to wake you up. Second, after two years of constant daily wear, the plastic pieces on the face have worn and detract from the appearance of the piece. But that's it. I've had this thing on every day for almost two years and have had it in the mountains, valleys, in the ocean, in may different conditions and the two things that keep this marvel performing (the solar charger and the wave ceptor time update) have NEVER failed.

Comments about Casio PAW1300T-7V Silver Slim Atomic-Solar Pathfinder Titanium:

If you are looking for a watch that would help you survive if you were deserted on a desert island this is the watch. Seriously though, you can't ask for much more in a watch. It NEVER needs a battery. You NEVER need to adjust the time. It has a compass, an altimeter, barometer, thermometer, Automatic backlight by turning your wrist, and it's ultra lightweight titanium. It's amazing. I compared it to all the other Pathfinder watches that have a metal band. (I can't stand strap watches) and this is the thinnest. The PAW-1100 is much thicker and the band is ugly. The PAW 1500 is basically the same as this one except it adds Moon Phase. I dont really care about the moon phase since I can look up and it takes away from some of the display. Actually, having the moon phase changes the display all together and I didn't care for it at all. This one has the right display and is thin. Big but thin and that's what I like about it. I'll bet Tom Hanks wishes he had one on the island when he was stuck there in the movie Castaway.
