DESCRIPTION
Keeping warm on a cold dive is the ultimate challenge one must overcome to enjoy the dive and think about what they are seeing on the dive not when will it end so I can get warm again. This Bare Sport Three-Finger Mitt is definitely a step in the right direction for total warmth. Mitts are designed to seal with a dry-suit wrist seal using a gauntlet style cuff with elasticized Velcro wrist strap which when cinched will keep water exchange to a minimum adding warmth to your dive. Five finger gloves expose more surface area of your hand to the cold water environment; mitts limit the surface area exposure extremely lowering the loss of body heat. Mitts are made of 7mm Nylon II Neoprene with Polyurethane (PU) coating on palms to prevent ware and increase durability and grip. So keep yourself warmer when cold water diving by using mitts.

FEATURES
  • 7mm neoprene with PU coated palm
  • 3 finger design, double-glued and blind stitched
  • Gauntlet style cuff with elasticized Velcro wrist strap

Not too hard to put on. Seemed to really restrict water movement. Hands stayed warm thru multiple dives in 45 degrees in Puget Sound. Comfortable and warm!

Comments about Bare Sport 7mm Three-Finger Mitt:

These gloves are great! They are so easy to put on just before a dive, and unlike some other ones don't need any help to put on which I really like. They are comfy and warm. I was worried that the 3 finger idea wouod be limiting but it isn't ... Haven't tried with a camera yet but that will be the next test.... I like them! They don't totally keep the water out but takes a while for water to get in but it is warmed in the glove!

I may have a size too big, as girl got a small but could probably go an extra small... But the Velcro helps and you can just adjust it to get better seal... Hasn't been a bit deal...it's just a little bit bigger than is perfect but that is the only negative i have, and that's an individual size thing that happens.

Stretchy neoprene is easy to pull on and take off. Attached Velcro straps make tightening (and adjustment underwater) easy. They are warm enough for hour-long dives in 40 degree water.

Comments about Bare Sport 7mm Three-Finger Mitt:

These gloves replaced a pair of similar Akona gloves that were stolen. I use them for surfing/bodyboarding during the cold winters here in NYC when water temps dip into the mid 30's F. They provide good grip, with decent dexterity instead of oven mitt type gloves. Plenty warm enough so far. The one downside is the elastic strap/velcro type of gauntlet closure. I feel that after some time, the elastic will stretch and it will be unable to create a very tight seal over the wetsuit. A solid fabric strap would have been better.
