The Bare Nex-Gen Dry-Suit is an affordable back-entry laminate Dry-Suit that utilizes an exclusive fabric and assembly method to provide unmatched performance at a great price, and a dry suit that you can buy off the shelf. BARE's exclusive lightweight, waterproof Nex-Gen welded fabric (abrasion resistant nylon/polyurethane bilaminate), is assembled using Seam Welding Technology (SWT). SWT using hot air, a polyurethane coated tape is applied to a sewn seam. This activates the glue on the tape combining the seam and tape into a weld. This combination actually becomes stronger then the surrounding material-creating an unbreakable seam. What does this mean to you? It means your suit has durability, long life and extreme warmth.

Great suit, I've had it almost a month. I've accumulated 12 dives with it in really cold water (42 to 45 degrees) and it hasn't let me down. From glacier lake to underground spring fed lakes, its a winner. The only thing is what all the others have noticed, the chest emblem have peeled a bit but I re glued them and kept going. For the price this suit kicks but!

1. Rubber protective pads came loose from the suit after a week od diving. Both knee and shoulder ones. Such rigid pads just do not match great (because so flexible)suit material.
2. The suit had a leak from first dive. Really hard to locate. Caused by a missing/broken layer of laminated material. BARE was not responsive at all. Their Customer Support must be from a different Planet. Looking for their advise/action I felt like being a nuissance. A simple patch fixed the leak.
3. I think suit misses a protective flap on the zipper
4. Bright side: one of those suits that do NOT make you feel like wearing an armor. Light weight yet very strong. Good valves, seals, neoprene socks are a winner too.

I use this drysuit for Lake Michigan shipwreck diving. What make this suit so comfortable is that the material isn't as tough and stiff as the more expensive suits. I haven't had any leaks or pinholes yet. Because of my own fault being careless I did replace the neck seal. Still diving dry.

I am 5'11" and 190 pounds, size 9 1/2 shoe and ordered a med-large with size 10 boots. the suit was to big and the boots to long. Called the folks at Leisure Pro and they said no problem. sent it back and they sent me out a med tall and large boots size 9 and it was great. This suit has not leaked on me yet. The first suit I have ever owned that hasn't leaked. I can put on a pair of shorty socks and when I take my suit off my feet will just slide right out dry as a bone.

54 dives with this suit since I bought it at the start of this 2009 dive season.. Works just fine and no problems.. No leaks and comfortable..

The suit is very comfortable and does the job well of keeping water out.. No leaks nor problems.. The inflater valve seems to stay attached now..Haven't had a problem with it lately.. I would buy another of this suit if I had the need to..
