Whats in the box:Knife, Sheath w/Quick-Adjust Leg Strapstraps

Blue Reef titanium knives are extremely resistant to corrosion and their blades have a remarkable fine hollow ground cutting edge. The thermoplastic rubber molded handle fits comfortably in gloved and bare hands. The quick-adjust rubber strap on the sheath eliminates the inconvenience of older style manual buckles.

The butt cap can be used as a hammer is also made of durable, corrosion free titanium. The sheath has a push-down lock system to secure the knife safely.

This is a wonderful knife, in the past I have used knives that end up rusted by the time you get back to your car. This knife stays sharp, and doesn't rust at all (which is good since for the life of me I can not take it apart). HOWEVER, during a paticularly rough beach entry (monastary beach for all you Montery divers), the case snapped in half while still strapped to my leg. See the attached pic with my crude repairs.

I have had this knife for roughly 3 years, and in that time period, it was great. However, on my last spearfishing trip, the entire grip crumbled in my hand and I am now left with just a titanium blade. It still works, but I would be cautious of this for those who have had this knife for awhile. Other than the grip problem, this is one of the best knives I have had.

Comments about Blue Reef Deluxe 5" Titanium Knife, Blunt:

Because this knife is very light and nearly weightless in the water, it can be mounted anywhere and doesn't hinder movements. In any case, one should always carry main and back up blade when in the H2O...especially in the Atlantic.

Comments about Blue Reef Deluxe 5" Titanium Knife, Blunt:

The knife is very light weight and very sharp. I am not too sure how well the sheath strap slots will hold up. They look pretty thin. The strap buckles are cheap and one would not lock at all. It broke before I ever hit the water with it. Replaced the buckles with Fastex buckles. The knife locks into the sheath well and is not too hard to get out even when wearing gloves.

Comments about Blue Reef Deluxe 5" Titanium Knife, Blunt:

Ok, I just received this product in the mail and haven't tried it out in the water, but as a stickler for quality I can tell that this was made with diver input. The knife is well constructed, the handle is comfortable with or without gloves, it locks securely in the scabbard even in an inverted position. As a backup method to keep it from accidentally falling out while inverted I simply use a Velcro strap to secure it in place so it is easily removed when I need it or in an emergency situation. (I have the knife installed on my BCd wing system inverted on the shoulder strap.) I will update when I have put some wear 'n tear on it. I also purchased the yellow one for better viz and I am completely satisfied with the coloration.

Comments about Blue Reef Deluxe 5" Titanium Knife, Blunt:

I hopefully will never need this bad boy, but have it just in case! I believe in scuba redundancy and also carry a Remora knife on my BC (as well as EMT shears). It might be overkill but I'd rather be over-prepared than the alternative (dead!).
