DESCRIPTION

Whats in the box:Knife and Sheath

This is the latest design in 3" BCD dive knives and features improved styling, one-handed knife release mechanism and are available in 3 colors with a pointed tip. Knife blade is equipped with a sharp edge and a serrated edge. Blade also has two line cutters, all on a 3" blade. Blade is manufactured from tuff stainless steel which is highly corrosion resistant. Impact resistant handle and sheath makes this one sought after knife.

    This a great little knife. It is sharp, comfortable and comes with adapters for mounting to your BC or low pressure hose. The release can be difficult to operate with gloves on, but I have found that I can just grab it firmly and pull it from the scabard without damaging the release. One caution though... make sure you take it out, wash and dry it soon after diving. It will start rusting in a day if you don't. Still, for the price, this is a really good deal for a general purpose or backup knife.

    This is a good little knife, however, next time I'll spend the extra money and pick up the Titanium. I used this recently on a 1 week trip to Roatan, logging 25 dives that week, I came back with a fully rusted knife. It was washed (sheath and knife) after every dive. That seemed too little too late. For the price you can't go wrong as a back-up knife, but it does rust quickly. Two heavy dive trips max. before it becomes more dangerous than worth while.

        This knife is on par with others that cost eight times as much.I purchased two of them as Christmas gifts for my kids and am now jealous.I own an OMS
        titanium dive knife that I would gladly swap for this Blue Reef knife.The blade is sharp and the scabbard is perfect for mounting anywhere on your BC.It comes with three options for mounting and has a release lever that you can easily use with gloves.

          Nice knife, attaches easily and securely. Sharp with many useful features. I used it in fresh water for @ 50 dives with no issues but first 2 tank boat trip in Bonaire it started to rust. I cleaned it up and coated with silicone lube and had no further issues.

            I like this little knife. Im deployed and use it for cutting rope and fuel bladders. It helps to have a knife that has a stout blade and hold its edge well. This one does it well. The material I cut mostly is a thick fabric reinforced rubber bladder used to store fuel.

            The sheath is very handy, I have it mounted on my backpack shoulder strap and the knife is easy to clip in and out. It will not accidentally fall out and I have yet to miss the slot for the blade. I'm not worried about rust, all you have to do is clean it well and whip it down with some WD-40 or Corrosion-X. Just make sure you remove the oil before you let it get in contact with your wetsuit.

            Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
