The product as a whole is exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a small BC knife to mount on my shoulder strap and it works perfect for that. I was very amazed at how well the knife secures inside the holder and that I can still remove it easily with one hand. The only problem I have with the knife is that the handle is a little to short, when holding it you can only get three fingers around the handle. I have pretty small hands and even just getting the three fingers on is tough. I like the blade length but the handle could use "at least" another 3/4". It almost feels like a kids play toy in your hands!

I just don't get it. This seemes to have been made for a 4 year old and who in their right mind would want a 4 yo to weild a knife? It is so small - I mean tiny! It is extremely difficult to use with gloves on. If you needed to cut you way out of some kelp, you would be there for long after your air runs out, using only your thumb and forefinger to cut. Imagine using something the exact size of half a pencil - now you are starting to get it. Useless!

Cons

Comments about Blue Reef 3" Compact BCD Knife, Blunt:

Small & compact is a pro and a con. Sheath is a little large and handle is a little small. Good for BC or PFD. Low price, durable. If it's dropped, no temptation to chase into the deep, just buy another one.

Comments about Blue Reef 3" Compact BCD Knife, Blunt:

Great compact knife for the price. I have it zip tied to my inflator hose and it does not get in the way. The handle is small but I feel its big enough and a good trade off to get a compact knife. Has never fallen out of the holster.

NICE SMALLL KNIFE. THE SCREW HOLES DIDN'T LINE UP THE GROMMETS ON THE BCD I HAD BUT IT WAS EASILY STOWED IN POCKET. NICE SMALL KNIFE.

Comments about Blue Reef 3" Compact BCD Knife, Blunt:

Doesn't have the same visual impact of say, a Rambo knife strapped to your leg. But it's very unobtrusive and the size lets you mount it just about anywhere. Blade is perfect for cutting just about anything you'd need to cut while underwater. Handle is too short to really grip well (I'd recommend at least a 4 inch handle - I drilled a hole and added a wrist lanyard just in case I lost my grip on it).
