With the Cetacea Locking Retractor with Stainless Steel Carabineer you can keep your Accessories safe and secure with stainless steel cable. The Cetacea Retractor Extends up to 32 inches with 24oz retraction force and locking mechanism allowing you to relax your grip when extended for long periods, great for dive lights or cameras. This auto-recoil device allows for quick and easy access to equipment secured to BCD or weight belt.

Retractor is equipped with a corrosion resistant stainless steel carabineer clip with split ring for attachment of accessories or console. Retractor protects equipment and damage to the environment by keeping attached item close to the vest.

I've taken the retractor on several dives now and use it to secure my dive light in an accessible place. The retractor has enough pull that using the locking mechanism is not necessary for this accessory; in fact, short of using it to carry more lead, I can't imagine an accessory that would cause this retractor to pull out without your assistance.

Some buyers might not like that the retractor cord is made of cloth string instead of metal cord (though it is possible it is cloth string wrapped around metal??)

Locking action on this device is not working properly. This has a very strong return spring and the locking action is not positive. The locking button doesn't positively engage and then slowly creeps off resulting in the retractor snapping back into the housing. Maybe I just got a faulty one?

I liked this product. It worked great for clipping my console to my bcd. I had no issues with it at all. The only thing I would change is the size. Wish it was a little bit smaller but, functions great.

      Great retractor, a lot of retraction force but not too much, great for connecting in-line consoles. Only down side is that the retractor as a whole is a bit bulky but its very useful. Recommend it.
