These fins are significantly faster than the V-16 even though they are much heavier. Like all split fins leg cramps are non-existent and you must use a flutter kick to take full advantage of the benefits of the design. These fins improved my time on the 800 meter snorkel and 100 meter full kit tow stamina tests. In practice in a half Olympic sized pool before the Divemaster tests I could never get below 14 minutes in the 800 meter snorkel, but with these fins my times ranged between 13:30 and 13:00 on the same course. Plus, they are solid orange! Easy to follow me and nobody can say they mixed them up with theirs.

    I am leaving this to help others with sizing. I did a fair bit of searching on line for sizing help and found little to work with, so I will document my experience here. It all went well thanks to Leasure Pro.

    I wear a mens Adidas Classic (Rom, Gazelle) Size 9.5(US) Size 9(UK) Size 43.5(FR) Size 275(JP) and that is a Snug/Tight fit. My foot is 11 inches long, and 4.25 inches wide and 3 inch instep (low arch)

    I use Atomic Split Fin size 9-10 (42-43) (full foot model) and very old pair of ScubaPro Jet Fins Size 9-13 (43-48) (using 3mm Neo Sock) which are quite tight in width compared to the Apollos.

    As I wanted to use a boot with a sole (Bare 3mm Tropic Boot Size 9) I figured from what I read online to order an Apollo size L (9-11) but I was wrong! It was far too wide and my foot was pushing through the toe opening. So LP sent me the Size M (8-9) and that fits like a charm. My heel protrudes 2.25" out the back using the Bare Boots, 1.75" using light boots, and I could 'just' use them with no boot at all. There is still enough width for a wider boot or higher instep. I believe the L (9-11) should really be 10+ to 12, so if you are 'in between sizes be sure to leave enough time to adjust your fit before leaving on a trip! My only regret now is that I didn't order the Spring Straps.

    They feel like great fins and thanks again LP for your patience and help!

    BTW, My wife ordered Size Small and she wears size 8 shoe, they seem right, and we will provide detail soon. I could happily wear these with no boot at all.

      Just bought these fins for my daughter after having them myself for several years. I have very much enjoyed diving with them. I use to get leg cramps but no more. Also, so easy to kick that I don't have that tired, fighting the current feeling.

        I switched from a very stiff fin to these. I have lost some power, but the kicks are much easier. Often it takes 3-4 kicks to get up to speed if I really want to move.

        Used it for scuba and snorkeling.. feels great and you don't even have to kick hard.. almost like a flying carpet feeling. Used it during some heavy drift dives. worked much beter than expected against the current. never had a cramp!
