I have had a version of this product for about 5 years and have over 450 dives with this wet suit. It has performed well although it is now time to replace as it is starting to wear out. It has taken abuse well and has survived surge currents and barnacle covered rocks without tearing. After numerous dives it has begun to lose its loft but that is to be expected and I still dive it comfortably in 74 degree water. This is a good suit that gives good value for your money.

This suit is okay for the money. it looks nice and fits comfortably. It wears out quickly, however. The neoprene is overly-compressible, and creases and folds become permanent. The neoprene is so spongy that the suit loses its warmth after relatively few dives. Also, the nylon outer skin is not very durable; if it rubs against anything, it piles up and the surface becomes rough.

Great wetsuit for the price. Perfect for 75-80 degree water not quite warm enough for a shortie.
Great 3MM Suit......Why spend anymore?

I've had no problems pulling it on and off. The product sizing runs just a little tight. [...]. The zipper unzips easy but zipping up I need help. That is a very small issue. If you spend more money on a 3MM suit, you've been had. Happy diving! :)

Consult the Akona sizing chart before ordering. I found the chart to be true to sizing. I use this suit professionally all winter with an arctic hooded vest. I selected it primarily because I need the ease of movement that a 3mm suit provides in order to perform heavy underwater work. I would prefer a brass zipper, as the nylon gets brittle and is subject to breaking in the cold weather.
