I pulled mine a LONG way through the streets of Playa del Carmen, Isle Mujeres, Virgin Gorda, San Miguel, etc. without a problem. My last trip was a bit much for the bag when it didn't arrive home with me. US Air returned it the next day apologizing that it was hit by an airplane. They weren't lying - I was reimbursed for all the damage done and purchased the larger bag this time. My XL tech BC really stressed the zipper. The wheels are a bit noisy, but while they appear "cheap" they are very rugged. Other than being just a little small and not holding up to nuclear attack by the airlines, this was a good bag.

I bought two of these for a trip to Kona. Arrived in good time and in good shape. One of them, however, failed on the flight out... the pull out handle broke on it (loaded with only 38 pounds of gear). The bag its self is very well made, good zippers, tight, you can get a full scuba set in it and still be under the airline size limit. I wear an XXL Jacket BC and use XL Scubapro Twin Jet Maxx fins which are HUGE and both fit, with wet suit, weight belt and everything in the case. I didn't put my regs and computer in the case because I carry those on with me, but they would have fit as well.If you are used to the "old style" bag which are now considered oversized, you will likely be shocked at how much smaller this is... but we didn't have any problems on the airlines whereas somebody with a bigger bag right next to us were hit with a HUGE oversized bag limit for their AquaLung bag and there was a big scene going on about it.If the handle had not been defective I would have given this 5 stars... but it was[...]

Comments about Akona Evolution Roller Bag (AKB155):

Akona products are very rugged in my opinion, I have been using my 1st bag nearly 12yrs and have had no problems in the airports, it is one tough bag that withstands airport handlers. I decided to buy another to use with my other Akona bag. I had a Oceanic and the wheels got broken the 1st time I used it to travel to the Caribbean. Its the right travel luggage for me and i am very satified with its over all uses. I would recommend these travel bags to my friends.

Comments about Akona Evolution Roller Bag (AKB155):

I found I was able to pack in a BCD, boots, fins, mask, reg, full wet suit, computer, snorkel and several other items - good capacity. Nice, long handle, front pockets make stuff readily accessible - the only thing I would prefer is a design that didn't allow for such easy tipping over. However, that's easy enough to fix, just don't put heavy things in the top pocket!

This bag is nice but not really strong. used it the first time to bonaire but when i got home i noyiced that the fabric was ripped on top of the zipper. Don't know if it was the airline people that handeled it roughly our the design.
