Most of the Aeris buoyancy compensators are weight integrated, meaning they have the capacity to accept Aeris pockets filled with either soft or block weights. By eliminating some or all of the weight a diver normally has to wear around their hips, these weight pockets increase comfort and can prevent a fully inflated BC from creeping up or riding too high on your body.
QLR Weight Pockets hold 10 lbs (4.54 kg) of either hard or soft weights, and are made from tuff and durable nylon with impact resistant plastic buckles. QLR Buckle retains weight to BCD and will only release when you pull the release handle, unlike Velcro fastened pocket that over time wear out and can release accidently. Seams are taped and sewn, and the weight pouch is easy to open and close to install and remove weights with their Velcro closures.
