Wireless Air Integrated Technology The first of its kind, the Epic Wristwatch is a sophisticated Dive Computer featuring hose-less air integrated technology. An optional transmitter (see SKU: AERTRN) threaded into the first stage high-pressure port continuously sends cylinder pressure data to the wristwatch. Frequencies are individually coded to allow multiple divers to swim side by side without interference with other units, as well as allow advanced divers to monitor up to 3 independent cylinders. Because the transmitter and display module are independent and separately powered units, the receiver may also be easily used as a standalone, non-air integrated dive computer.

Buddy Pressure Check Swim to within 4-6' (1.2-1.83 meters) of your buddy and press a button to see his or her tank pressure - how easy could it be? No hand signals or disruptions. Switch between 3 Independent Transmitters. The Epic is an advanced digital wristwatch featuring a 1/100 second chronograph (stopwatch) with lap timer, 24 hour countdown timer, daily alarm, alternate time zone with date, 12/24 hour clock, and backlight.

Patented Air Time Remaining Algorithm You're at 80' (24 meters) with 1300 psi (90 bars) remaining in your cylinder - how long before you need to begin an ascent to a shallower depth? Aeris patented Air Time Remaining feature calculates your current depth, breathing rate, cylinder pressure, ascent time, and decompression status to tell you exactly how much time you can remain underwater.

Dive Time Remaining, like Air Time Remaining provides a 'real' number in minutes, considering Air Time Remaining, Nitrogen and Oxygen absorption, and automatically displays whichever allows less time. Computer has oversized digits, making reading the computer easy regardless of your eyesight or environmental conditions. The Epic features a variety of system and user-customized audible alarms, alerting you to situations that pose a potential danger, or simply serve as a convenient reminder.

Have you ever had difficulty hearing your computer's audible alarm? Perhaps that little beep signifying a potentially dangerous situation was timed perfectly with your exhaust bubbles rushing past your ears. Or maybe it seemed insignificant as that huge manta ray soared overhead. You won't miss the Epic's audible alarm. Once triggered, the alarm will sound continuously for 10 seconds.

The Epic acts simply as an 'Air' computer until you tell it otherwise, whether that is this weekend or 2 years down the road. As your training and experience grow, the Epic is designed to grow with you, being easily programmed for up to three individual gas mixtures containing from 21% to 100% oxygen.

When the Conservative Factor is set On, the no-decompression limit times are reduced to values equivalent to those that would be available at the next higher 3000' (915 meter) altitude. Speed through menu items and set modes easily and quickly with the FastSet Menu and intuitive button operation. The Epic features time of day on the surface as well as underwater for quick reference. Time and date stamp also helps you to easily identify specific dives in Log Mode or PC download memory. An alphanumeric "Message Box" is incorporated in the upper portion of the Epic display to provide text and numeric readouts in simple, unambiguous terms. The Epic automatically compensates for altitude dives up to 14,000' (4267 meters), giving adjusted no-decompression times and depths. The Epic even automatically recalibrates the depth display for freshwater instead of seawater above 2,000' (610 meters).

The Epic Wristwatch and transmitters feature diver replaceable batteries. This can be a real trip-saver on board a live-aboard boat! Should you be in a tight spot between dives, the "hot-swap" feature allows you to change batteries between dives while maintaining all calculations. The Epic features both a 24-hour countdown timer and calculated de-saturation time. The Epic features a depth-dependant ascent rate, allowing increased rates at deeper depths and providing additional safety as you near the surface. An intense bluish green light illuminates the entire dial of the watch evenly at the push of a button.

The Epic features on-unit data storage capacity for 24 dives. Date and time stamp makes locating and viewing a specific dive quick and easy. History Mode displays accumulative information for up to 9999 dives, 9999 dive hours and the maximum depth achieved. History information is maintained indefinitely, even if the battery is replaced. The Epic's ACI PC Interface is an exquisitely detailed digital dive log. ACI allows you to easily transfer dive data from your Epic to your PC via a plug-in USB cable. Following download, your dive data is automatically formatted for easy viewing, sorting, analysis, and printing. Enter location, dive buddy and your notes and you've instantly created your own digital logbook. In addition to detailed dive analysis, the Epic ACI PC Interface also allows you to quickly and easily set most of your user settings and options through your PC.

Divers using advanced breathing gas may utilize the Epic as an advanced air integrated digital depth gauge and bottom timer with detailed PC Interface. So if you're looking for a computer packed with features, a 24 month limited warranty and comes with a comprehensive owner's manual the Epic is the computer for you.

Comments about Aeris Epic Hoseless Wrist Computer, with PC Cable:

The computer is great. Takes a little to get used to but after two dives I was hooked. If this one ever busts, I'm buying another one. As an instructor it's nice when linked to the extra transmitters so I can see how my students air consumption is going. Also is valuable to show students improvement in breathing techniques (software included with computer)

Comments about Aeris Epic Hoseless Wrist Computer, with PC Cable:

The product is very good overall. I do have a few criticisms and these are relatively minor.

The manual could be organized a bit better.

The seal on the battery compartment could be designed to inspire more confidence that it's locked securely.

Also, I had one instance where the computer got locked into free dive mode and wouldn't go back to scuba mode when I was just beginning to use it. I was able to resolve the problem only by removing and reinstalling the battery. The problem has not reoccurred since, and I'm not concerned about it.

Otherwise, I'm very pleased with the product. The display is easy to read and provides the essential information on the main screen like pressure and dive time remaining. That was a concern I had before I bought a wristwatch style computer. It's great for travel. I can leave my wristwatch at home and just wear the computer. Also, it has a handy feature that keeps time in two time zones and lets you set the one that's in use.

Aeris has also added a configuration option that allows the computer to retain the nitrox mix setting between dives. On older models like my 750G, the mix reverts to 50% after each dive. That was extremely annoying. I was pleased to see that they changed that.

Comments about Aeris Epic Hoseless Wrist Computer, with PC Cable:

This is a great dive computer if you're looking for a small form factor. It's very easy to use once you spend some time studying the poorly written manual. After some trial and error dives (with backup gauges of course) it is flawless every time. I like the watch looks, functions, and size. My dive bag is big enough without having to add more gear to it for diving.

        Service and delivery comments:

Leisure Pro is simply the best online diving site out there. They are more than helpful and willing to work with you on just about everything (including great pricing).
