Whats in the box:1st Stage, 2nd Stage, LP Hose and Owners Manual
Aeris' 400 Pro DVT regulator's patented dry valve design means you won't have to sacrifice performance and durability in order to have a regulator that won't flood. This pneumatically-balanced second stage will be the work horse of your dive gear; it will keep you breathing easily dive after dive. The diver-adjustable breathing valve allows you to control the airflow to match your breathing rate and body's air needs. High performance balanced diaphragm first stage with environmental seal and the added protection of DVT (Dry Valve Technology).
The Aeris 400 Pro DVT uses a high performance over-balanced diaphragm first stage with environmental seal and the added protection of DVT (Dry Valve Technology). DVT (Dry Valve Technology) is one of the most significant innovations in regulator technology in recent history. DVT is a fully automatic valve that protects your first stage regulator's internal components against the harsh water environment in which we work and play; with no impact on the regulator's first-class performance.
DVT provides an "automatic extra layer of protection" from environmental contamination such as dirt, dust, sand, spray, dripping and pooled water, or even a "flash flood" in a rinse tank. DVT improves performance and reduces service costs associated with corrosion of critical internal components, bacteria, hose deterioration, and damaged gauges and computers. The first stage has two HP and 4 LP ports, weighs 29 oz (822 g). The all chrome plated marine brass first stage regulator is an over balanced diaphragm design which is environmentally sealed. The diaphragm membrane transmits the pressure changes to the internal mechanism eliminating the need for the surrounding water to enter the intricate mechanism. The benefit of this type of first stage design is that none of the internal parts are exposed to contaminants such as salt, sand, chlorine or pool acids. These environmental contaminants cause corrosion and mineral deposits to form on the internal mechanism deteriorating regulator performance.
Taking another stride beyond common second stage engineering, the AT400 Pro features a pneumatically balanced valve that maintains a preferred breathing resistance throughout the dive. Set it once and the AT400 Pro automatically adjusts to make breathing as easy at 100' (30 meters) as it is at 30' (9 meters) - with no additional manual adjustment. A simple twist of the AT400 Pro's adjustment knob enables complete control...set the inhalation requirement to near zero when you need ultimate performance, or tune it for greater resistance as conditions or preferences change.
The 400 Pro DVT's lightweight design and patented orthodontic mouthpiece mean you'll be comfortable and breathing easily throughout your dive and won't face post-dive jaw discomfort once you've returned to the surface. Now available with MaxFlex Hose which is a 30" (76.2 cm) lightweight, flexible, braided hose designed to outperform and outlive traditional rubber hoses. The 400 Pro second stage with an outer ring diameter of only 2.67" (6.8 cm) and 5.4 oz (153 g) weight. The Pro's second stage is made from an ABS/Polycarbonate composite blend of materials making it both extremely rugged and lightweight, reducing jaw fatigue on extended dives. The 400 Pro is classified as being suitable for use with nitrox breathing gas mixtures containing up to 40% oxygen by volume without the need for special preparation, cleaning or component parts. Second stage comes with a venturi control switch and diver adjustable inhalation. All Aeris regulators come with a 24 month limited warranty.
