Questions about this item:
Shopper Why Did You Choose This?
YONGTAE K The grip is really good and easy for me. And the light is going straight and it's well made as secured from water.
GRAHAM S the first one broke after a year.
GRAHAM S Very bright, rechargeable and not too bulky.
CHARLES G Works well with NiHM rechargeables, despite what their literature says. Save some money and order a recharger and 8 taiwanese C batteries from eBay! Well worth the up-front costs. Just don't forget to charge both sets before your trip, or you might have to take the charger with you.
Shopper Hi, Is there a battery pac for this flashlight. Like the one the UK C4 has?
DUSTIN M There is no battery pack within this light it is just 4 C sized batteries. It's a very good light and even with a lot of usage the batteries last a long time. The light is light but very bright and well worth the money I've had mine on nearly 100 dives and not had any issues what so ever!
MICHAEL S I'm not sure what teh UK C4 has but this one just takes 4 c cell batteries. The light works well and is nice and bright. I had one flood on me and princeton tec replaced it no questions asked.
MIKE J I don't think so - mine just uses C batteries
JASON W I don't know of a battery pac. I use rechargeable C batteries and that works great.
David R We do not have a rechargable battery for it if that is what you mean.
LEE LING E It uses 4 C batteries.
Shopper What is the angle beam?
Brett H The mfg does not list a specific beam angle, they state this:
FOCUSED WIDE BEAMS
This beam pattern is an excellent choice for multipurpose activities. At close range, focused wide beams simulate normal daylight conditions and allow you to take advantage of your peripheral vision.
Shopper Other than brightness how do you know which version of the miniwave you have (150 or 337 lumens) by looking at the light itself?
PETER G Good question. I don't see anything on the outside or inside of the lite that identifies amount of Lumen and I don't own both models to compare. Question for the manufacturer I suppose.
ALEJANDRO A Personally never had the opportunity to compare. This light was a bit more than the traditional older version so I just made the purchase. Just remember LED lighting is a bit different than the old traditional bulbs since you have a more focused light. Traditional bulbs do better job in flooding an area.
Sorry could not me more of a help. Overall great light and no issues over the last year.
TIMOTHY H Sorry, I don't know. The specs & pics on website look identical otherwise. There are 2 power settings though. Good question for the manufacturer - or maybe the marketing department ?
CHARLES C The new Princeton Miniware LED light has 3 leds which are clearly visible from the front of the light. The older Miniware light had a single Xenon bulb.
Lori F what are the dimensions of this light (height from bottom of handle to top of light, etc.)?
JOHN K Height is 17cm, length roughly 13cm, width 8cm.
MIKE B Lori
This light works great and is the right size and weight , the hight is no more then 6in. Your field of view is great because of the power of the L E D s
Muke B
Lori F Thanks, sounds like a great light!
TIMOTHY H Bottom to top (aimed horizontally): 6.25in
Front of lens to back of battery compartment: 4.75in
Outer diameter of rubber boot: 3in
Decent light for a C4. I'm also happy with my UK C4 eLED, which is slightly larger.
CLAYTON W Hi Lori,
It is about 6 inches long and lens is about 3" in diameter with the handle taking up another 4 inches. My Princeton Tec Miniwave light leaked slightly in 50 feet of water and it was screwed closed very tightly to no avail. Not enough to ruin it, but I did end up having to remove some corrosion from it and replace the batteries, I never pursued it with LP. I also purchased 2 hand held units that were advertised to be good up to 500 feet. Leisure Pro did not stand behind them when they got swamped after only 2 dives. I later learned that they were only good for 1 meter per the Mfg. Pelican. I have since stopped doing business with LP and would recommend that you do your research prior to purchasing from them to be sure that what they are advertising is in fact true.
Shopper What IS the weight of this light?
LeisurePro S This light weighs 650 grams.

Miniwave LED The Miniwave LED is a compact version of our popular Shockwave LED. Designed for the diver who wants to streamline their gear, the Miniwave LED is the perfect light for a wide range of diving. Princeton Tec packed 390 Lumens into the smaller body style, so you really can have your cake and eat it, too. With the flick of the switch you can toggle between low and high power settings and the locking mechanism ensures that the Miniwave LED will remain off when you have it in your bags.
Light has 3 Max-Bright 3-Watt LED's that give 4 Hours of Burn Time on the High Power Setting and 10 Hours on Low. Light is equipped with LED Optical Collimator. A collimator gathers all available light from an LED in the form of scattered rays and re-emits the light as parallel rays, making it more optically efficient than a standard reflector. Princeton Tec calibrates each collimator to the type of LED and application of each light. With proprietary optimized collimator / lens systems, Princeton Tec continues to advance LED technology.
Princeton Tec has developed proprietary ultra-light heat-sinks to protect LED products from overheating. Even though LEDs operate at much lower temperatures than traditional incandescent bulbs, they still generate heat. If this heat is not dissipated, the LED will suffer irreversible damage. By using heat-sinks, Princeton Tec lights can burn at extreme brightness levels for long periods of time. The heat-sink may be incorporated internally or externally depending on the product and its application.
Powered by 4 C-Cell Alkaline Batteries (included), LED Life of 10,000 Hours, Depth Rated to 330' (100 meters) and weighing 22.93 oz (650 g) with batteries, all make this one great compact travel light. Light is equipped with a Pistol Grip Handle with an Adjustable Rubber Shrouded Wrist Lanyard.
