A good light for the money. Has dual filament bulb versus dual bulbs. That gives some redundancy, if one filament burns out, but not if the bulb itself is damaged/broken from environmental stresses (water, shock). The batteries last about what I would expect. It's good for recreational diving. But, it pales when compared to canister lights (which cost hundreds of dollars).

This light works great...until the trigger mechanism breaks. This is the second light I have bought and the first one worked until the plastic switch broke on the inside. I also know that this is happened to my dive buddy with the exact same light. I do have to say that I got about 100 night dives out of the light before it broke, so it did get some fair amount of use. Only recommend it b/c it is not that expensive of a light.

Comments about Princeton Tec, Miniwave II Dive Light:

The on/off trigger was difficult to operate, but then would turn itself on in my gear. I had 3 dives with it before the housing cracked...Had to replace batteries twice. Maybe I had a defective light, but I would never recommend this to anyone.
