todd C OK at the risk of sounding like a moron.... How in the world do you switch this thing from red flashing to white?

WALTER R You have to change the bulb.

RONALD P You get two bulbs with the light. You just switch the bulbs.

RICHARD E There are two separate bulbs (red and clear). One screws off the top, removes one, and inserts the other (before entering the water).

todd C I don't see an extra bulb in the package. I will have to call LP when they open.

ABHISHEK A It's been a very long time since I used this particular night tank light, but I believe when you purchase the light, it comes with two different bulbs --- one is red flashing and the other is a continuous white. You can install whichever bulb you wish to use.

Nice little light. Burned bright and everyone knew it was me. Used it for an identifying light on my tank for a night dive.

I found it to be not much brighter than a glow stick, and substatially more expensive. I had one of these but it leaked before I got to use it on a night dive. I threw it out, instead of asking PrincetonTec to repair or replace it. Their Aqua Flare is a much better light. It's brighter, similarly priced, and the cone can be removed to use it as a minimal flshlight. A few dollars more will get you a functional light. Skip the Eco Flare.

Just received a second replacement Eco flare and like the first there doesn't seem to be an incandescent function. The product description says the unit has both a flashing function and a krypton bulb for continuous output. At this point only the flashing function works ... Frustrating.

I just bought my third of this light. The lamp cover has broken on my first two, which is why I give it an average rating. Although broken, they are not useless, and I use them in my tent as a marker or in any gear bag for limited illumination.

Light comes with "constant on" LED (White) -AND- "flashing" LED (Red). I chose this only as a tank marker light, as it really doesn't have a "beam" like a dive light. Bought two - one for my wife and one for me. Product is compact and lightweight, which is perfect for combatting the ever decreasing weight restrictions on airlines.
