hamid a hi there, here is my measurements please help with sizing for Pinnacle Shadow 2 1.5mm men (I'm between L and XL)
height weight chest waist hip inseam
6' 193,5 lbs 45" 36,6" 39,4" 29,5"
178cm 88kg 115cm 93cm 100cm 75cm
I'm planning to use this suit for pool training like DNF or DNY or warm water spearfishing. I'm warm blooded and pool temp. is 26-27 C is that suit good for this temp. ? .
and what is the min-max temp for shadow 2 ?
JONATHAN R I'm 6'2", 180 lbs. The Large fit well. It was a little loose in the belly, but I'm pretty lean, so that was to be expected. I would think that for someone a bit shorter, and a bit heavier, the Large would fit perfectly.
hamid a finally the suit arrived. and I wore immadiatelly. voila !.. XL size fits perfectly in every way. just a loose fit lower back because of back and hip muscles, there is a gap in there... in my oppinion pinnacle must change the size chart for this suit. If you have an athelete backgorund or wider chest/shoulder than casual, thick arms than average (38-40cm) and legs with muscle, probably your size must be one upper than pinnacle size chart list. I reconsider measurement for XL :
height weight chest waist hip inseam
xl 5'11-6'2 190-215 42-46 36-40 40-44 30-33
RYUIJIE D I have used the suit in the Florida Keys with water temp at 72 F and in Kona at 80 f. Kept me warm in both places. The open cell suit is very much like a freedive suit. I prefer it to my Omer.
the Pinnacle size chart is very good. I had a local wet suit shop take in the forearm. Mine are a little narrow.
MILON E Sorry, I do not wear anywhere near that size. You should be able to find a size chart about this item somewhere on their website.
hamid a XL=2, L=1 first period score :) mark thanks the info. but sizing issues still bother me
MARK C I would recommend the XL; we used these suits in 72F water but were chilled after the first dive, but it would be perfect for 78-82F. As far as min-max temp, everyone's min-max is different depending on conditions.
Have fun!
CARRIE D The XL should fit nicely based on your measurments. It will not be to snug, but based on your height I would go XL. I think it is a good suit for the temps you mentioned. I have worn mine in Cozumel in January (water temp approximately 72 -75 degrees) and this past August, water temp 86 F. Overall I am very pleased with my suit and would recommend it.
hamid a hi carrie I'm from Turkey and change the suit will be a problem if did not fit very well (Large size not available)... I think I dont know exact size for me withot actually put on.
IAN F hamid, the suit does strectch a lot. I think I found a measurement guide somewhere. All manufacturers have different measurements. Try the smaller if your in between. hope it works out for you.
hamid a hi stanley thanks for the warn about sizing... I wonder are 3/2 suits usable for pool conditions ?
STANLEY B The size you need is a Large. I am very close to your measurements except for the weight. I weigh 219lbs. I felt the XL did not fit snug enough and would only feel worse in the water. I sent it back and I just received my Large and tried it on and am completely happy with the fit. Much better fit than the XL but not too snug.
Can't comment on how warm it will be in the pool as I mentioned above, I just received it.
I do like the titanium lined inside. Might help a bit on the warmth issue.
I don't think you will be disappointed in the Large size.
hamid a thanks for all guys. Large size not available yet and I have little confusion about sizing. maybe I should wait or I'll go for another brand with same thickness...
DAVID S I think the suit is perfect for that temperature range and pool training. When I first took the suit diving in the Philippines, the water was around 28-29 which was a little too warm for the suit and I switched to a skin. However in the winter months when the water temp was 26, it was great. Even at 35 meters the suit was still warm enough without overheating.
I'm very happy with the purchase and would recomend it again.
JOSH C Is is a good all-around suit to have. I wear it by itself or under thicker suits in colder water and it works great to seal in warmth. I wear it daily about 5 months out of the year.
