Shopper Is 3mm the thinnest wet suit?
MICHAEL P No. 2.5 mm and even 2mm wetsuits are available. Thinner than 2mm is generally a skin and not really a wetsuit. 3mm is a good warm to cool water thickness, but not thick enough for cold water.
BRITT O NO! a skin is 1mm but a 3mm is nice for warm water about 80-85 degrees.
David R you got pretty much the answers above as there are .5mm/ 1mm or some 3/2mm as well
TOM P No Pinnacle makes a .05 mm
MICHELLE P No, there are 1 and 2 mm wetsuits, but a 3 mm is a good thickness for most warm water diving.
JOHN D No. There are a variety of skins that are much thinner.
SUZANNE G That's a question for the manufacturer or retailer. I am only a consumer who bought the product and really likes it. (Pinnacle fans are very passionate about their suits!)
kim m 3mm is not the thinnest you can get. .5, 1, 1.5 and 2 mm suits do exist, as well as lycra dive skins (which really provide no thermal protection, just environmental protection)
