Questions about this item:
Shopper Why Did You Choose This?
ROGER M This belt is convenient and comfortable. But the flaps that cover your wht.pockets just are not durable.
EARL T A gift to a friend, and now I wish I had bought it for me.
BARBARA S Bought one for each for a husband and wife team, now our kids want them too. Very comfortable and easy to load weights when changing suits and protections on the fly.
CHRISTOPHER J 1. What are the lengths of the wide band portion of the 4 and 5-pocket models?
2. The image does not show the D-rings. Are they stainless or plastic and where are they located?
3. Can the pocket/band assembly be removed from the 2" webbing belt? I would like to install it on a rubber belt.
Monica s 4 pocket lenght 20.5, 5 pocket 24.5
Outer pockets, they are plastic.
Cannot be removed.
Matt W About how much weight should I need? I am 6ft 220lbs and I just bought a 5mm suit. Mainly will be used just for free diving. Thanks
BRUCE R Matt
In seawater I would estimate you need about 25#, about 5 less in fresh water
Best to test it out so you float at eye level on a normal breath and as you exhale you almost sink and then float back up to eye level as you inhale

SUSAN P Out of my realm of experience...although I can tell you this belt will handle a good amount of weight, if needed. It's comfortable and the webbing belt does relax (less stiff) over time..
Alona S I'm a 69 year old female, 5'4" tall, 130 lbs, and have the size 10 wet suit jacket, 7mm. My waist is about 29" (without the wet suit jacket on). I'm not scuba diving (at least yet), but did get cold in the water, before I bought the jacket. I need a belt and some weights to stabilize myself at, or near the surface, for now. I may want to add more weight as time goes on, for more activities. I need help in selecting a weight belt, advice on the size I should get, and (I'm guessing) soft weights - the number and size of weights I should consider getting. Can you advise me?
ROBERT F I still use mine and its comfortable with the soft weights. It was a good purchase.
Tomoko K I ask you from Japan. Does it use for Japanese style weight?
DENISE H I'm sorry. I am not familiar with Japanese style weights. I can not answer your question.
RAYMOND F It uses standard weights and soft weights like sea pearls. I am not sure bullit style weights will be as comfortable. I can say I have no regretts about the purchase, I even bought one for my daughter!
THOMAS G I'd like to be of help but I don't know what a Japanese style weight is. Sorry
SUSAN P Tomoko, I don't know what Japanese style weights look like, but you have individual pockets that will each hold lead weight block or bags of lead shot weights very easily. My own weights are bags of shot and up to 5 lbs (2.27 kilos) will fit in one pocket. The most weight I've used with this belt is 23 lbs (approx. 11 kilos) while diving in cold water with a 7mm suit. As with all webbed belts, it was a bit stiff at first, but has softened up with use. Hope this helps!
Shopper How large of soft shot weight pouches will fit into each of the belt bags?
LeisurePro S The pockets can hold a six pound block or satchel, but 5 pounds blocks fit most comfortably.
Shopper Are the pockets partially removeable or are they fixed?
LeisurePro S Sorry, all the pockets are sewn together/connected.
Shopper If I go with the six pocket, and find that I've lost a little weight, can I adjust this belt to fit snugger?
LeisurePro S Yes, you can adjust each size to a certain extent. The 6 pocket belts adjusts from 35" to 50".
Shopper What is the difference between the 4,5,6,7 pocket models? Are the pockets different sizes?
LeisurePro S No, the numbers refer to the number of pockets on each belt. Belts with more pockets are for people with bigger waist sizes. Here is a rough guideline to help you choose what "size" you need: 4 weight pockets: 25" to 40" waist lengths 5 weight pockets: 30" to 45" waist lengths 6 weight pockets: 35" to 50" waist lengths 7 weight pockets: 40" to 55" waist lengths
Shopper How large a weight block can each pocket hold on the 5-pocket size?
LeisurePro S 5 pound blocks are the largest recommended

LeisurePro S 1. Is this belt suitable for casual snorkeling? Yes 2. How necessary is it? If you will be free diving it is highly necessary 3. Does it include weights? No 4. If not, which one should i buy? Soft weights are recommended. 5. i am 5 feet 10, 150 lbs, fairly fit, how much weight should i carry for snorkeling? This will depend on the exposure suit you will be wearing and which size belt should i get? Need to know what suit thickness.
