Questions about this item:
Tommy Z How do you compare this package with the Oceanic Complete? Does Mares come with limited lifetime services?
Miyuki S Both packages are suitable for will perform well in cold and at depth. To note the computer in the Oceanic Complete Package does not have audible alarms, a backlight and the ability to download dive profiles. If you are asking about Mares' warranty, it is not lifetime. It varies by product but is generally 2 years. There is more info at this link: http://www.mares.com/corporate/warranty.php?region=eu
VICTOR G The main reason why I bought these package is because of the brand. I bought two of these packages for my daughters. I want them to use the same brand that I have used for the past 15 years that I never had any issues or repairs.
Shopper Hi, I am 6ft and 185lbs. I tried the medium which felt ok but unfortunately couldn't compare to the large. Anyone my size? Reading the feedback I think I am just at the point of changing size.
SAM B Hi i bought this same setup its awesome. I am 5' 10'' and 190 pounds. I got the large bc, but will probably end up getting a medium at some point. Pay good attention to the waist size on the sizing chart. I can just barely get the the large to tighten up. other than that everything is great love gear. Happy diving!
ERIC B I'm also 6ft and 180lbs. I went with the large BC and I'm really happy with the way it fits.
SAMI S Hey, I recently purchased this package. I about about 145lbs and few inchs shorter than you are. I ordered the medium size and it fit pretty well. the medium size might fit ok, but according to their chart a large size is recommended.
DMITRI R Hi, I am 5' 10''/ 175 I purchased Large, and it fits very snugly. If you are planning to wear 5 or 7mm wetsuit, I suggest you get large.
Shopper I am 198 lbs, 34 inch waist, 45 inch chest, and large shoulders. I am not sure which is the correct size ?
KEITH S I recommend that you give Leisure Pro a call and speak with one there customer service people they are very good at what they do.

PHILLIP D I am 6'4" 225 and bought a Large. Fits great. My son is 5'6" 176 and he wears a medium. The large will probably fit you fine.
ROBERT H Go with the large, with your chest size and shoulders that will probably be better for you.
Btw this is a great package deal. I was surprised during my scuba scuba diving experiences to find that breathing through my regulator was easier than breathing air throughout the day on land! No effort needed at all! Even the octo line I found breathes easier than some of the primary regulators other people were using!
Shopper I'm 6.1" 190lbs - 34" waist and 42" chest with wide shoulders. According to the chart I should buy a medium however I think it will be small, what do you guys think?
LUMIR S size L will fets perfect. For that size.
SAM R I'm 6' 0'' 155 lbs with a 32 waist (chest dont know, normal figure though), and I bought a Medium last winter. It fits wonderfully and has room for me to grow in it (if i gain more weight!). Since your an inch taller and me an 35 lbs heavier, I would say there isn't a chance you would fit in a small. Good luck and enjoy - its a great package!!
PETER S Definitely get a large. I have a medium, I'm smaller than you and its just on the snug side. If I could do it again, I would get a large. If its too snug, you can't access the side pockets while you have weights in the pull-outs
SONMI M Some of not getting this product yet sinceon February 23, 2012
EDGAR B I am 5'10" and 175lbs and the medium fits me perfectly. I originally bought the L but it was much too big and rode up under my arms.
CHERLYNN W My husband is 6.4", 230lbs - 40 waist & 44" chest & also has wide shoulders. He has an XL - BC, it's the Mares-Pegasus. It fits him great, plenty of room, but not big & loose. We also debated, but opted for the larger size & are glad we did. - (I would buy a Large if I was you.) But do know this, if you call them, they are ALWAYS VERY helpful & knowledgeable about how the brands/sizes run & will tell you better than I can. - Hope it works, happy diving!
VICTOR C you definetely need a large. my wife is 5' 6" and 150 lb and she uses a medium. and the last time I checked, her chest was not even close to 42" ;)
JAKE R Im 5'8" 225lbs stocky 32" waist and i bought a large. Get a large. Medium is way to small.
Ryan E I'm 6'1" 200lbs with a 34 waist and the large is working well, but there is enough play in the BC where a medium probably would have worked OK too but may have been a tad tight.
SCOTT R Go with the larger size. The medium seems a bit snug on me and I wish I had ignored the chart and gone with my gut by buying the large.
Joe S I jist bought a Large and its perfect. Im 6' 1", 205, 36 waist, 46 inch chest. However, Im sure a medium would have fit as well. I've worn a medium several resorts and they always fit just as well. The only difference was having less excess straps when fully tightened (which i do have a lot of with this one). Hope that helps.
Joe S I'm 6'1" 205lbs, so the size chart puts me in a Large. Some rentals I have used lately gave me a better fit with Medium. Anybody about my size have a good testimony for sizes with this BC? It's very hard to tell how it fits until I am in the water, when one to big floats off of my back! Thanks.
CHRISTOPHER T G Joe, my recommendation would be to go to a Sports Chalet and try it on. I am 5'9 235 and an XL was too large for me but I did not know until i received it. It defnitely should not float off your back, but then you should be placing as little air in it as possible.
PHILLIP D I am 6'4 225 lds and got a large. I wish I had gotten an XL. I think the large will fit you better than a medium. My son is 5'5 165 lds. The medium fits him fine. Once he gets bigger, I'll give him my Large and I will get an XL. My advice is to go with the large.
JOSE M Knowing what I know now I would definitely have ordered a large I am 511 185 the medium is okay but I think I would've been happier with the large so if you haven't ordered it already I would suggest you order the large
VICTOR C Hi Joe,
I'm around 5'6" and 145lb but I'm big through the shoulders. I normally use a medium BCD and my wife uses a small. I bought a Mares package 3 and found the BCD too small for me. I ended up giving it my wife and buying a large. The medium fits her well and the large fits me perfectly. So I would say, buy the large.
Victor
ODED Z Probably L, depending on how huch weight you're planninng to gain. It was not neglegible in my case..
SONMI M Hi
I think you need size L for this model
ALA K Hi Joe, I'm 6'4 / 200lbs and initially bought a Mares Package#3 Medium size, it was way too tight. I had to return it and reordered a Large, it was perfect. Great Leisurepro customer service, they were super helpful. I suggest you go for Large. Hope this helps
JAKE R Idont know if this helps because our statures are a little different. Im 5'9" 215 with a muscular build and my mares dragon bc is a large. Fits perfect and has a wide range of adjustability.
CHRISTOPHER N i am 5'9 170 and i am in a medium and it fits perfect. i think that medium would be a little small for you because there is a few times i wished my bc was a little longer on me. there is many adjustments to make this fit nicely though. there is also another adjustment that's not in the manual under the shoulder straps in the back its kind of a pain to adjust but helps out alot.
SAM R I am 6'0'' 155 lbs and I bought this package in size Medium for the BCD. Fits perfect with a little room for me to grow up to about 175-185 lbs. With your body weight at 205lbs, I would assume you would be a Large. I can't see a 205lbs in a Medium fitting into it comfortably, that's just my opinion though. Good luck.
SEANN R I am 5'11" and I purchased the Medium which fits great on me. I am about 175lbs though. So perhaps the size chart is right to out you in a Large. I too like a snug fit in the water nothing worse than loose gear!
Cheers
Shopper I am 6'3'' and 250 lbs... any clue if the XL will accomodate someone my size? They dont offer a XXL...
ROBERT H I'm 6'3 and about 275 LBS. The XL was perfect for me.
GERALD O I got this package in December and I used it on 2 Mexico trips. I ordered a size M and when it arrived I thought it may be too small but it has a wide range of adjustments. It fit great and I can say that I am completly satisfied with the Package. If it doesn't fit they have an excellent return policy. I hope this helps.
PHILLIP D I am 6'4" and 225. I bought the large. It fits fine. The XL should fit you.
ODED Z I have large and weight 180. There's still plenty of room for me..
EDGAR B I'm 5'9 175lbs and went with the large. I had to swap it for a medium because the large swallowed me.
vincent l how heary is this package? with the box.
PHILLIP D Viincent,
Not sure the weight because I ordered two Mares 3 packages plus and dive mask, snorkel and fins package. It all came in the same box.
I am going on a trip soon. I have packed two Mares Dragon BC's, a set of fins, two masks and two full length dive suits in one bag. It weighed approximately 35 lds with the bag weighing about 7 lds. of the 35.
I hope this helps. Great package. My son and I dove a couple of weeks ago and love the BC and regulator.
David R It weights about 19 lbs total
miguel g is the regulator balanced?
ROBERT H This regulator is easier to breath through than breathing air throughout your normal day on land! The air is soft and just....relaxing.
JENO P Yes it is.
My Abyss is the best regulator I ever had, and I've been diving since 1970. Abyss gives me constant flow at any depth. Other regulators give you less when the tank is low, so you have to watch your gages. Wen you turn on the tank do it quick, or it may senser low pressure and flows. This was a supprice, since the piston type regulators need slow opening so the piston does not slamm on the valve seat.
Best of luck!
Jeno
NICK M Miguel: I honestly can't remember what balance means in terms od regs. I bought my Abyss for its cold weather properties since I dive in the MidAtlantic region. I have had it checked annually and it has always served me well in all temps and water types. My octo was always free-flowing, so I traded up to a Zeagle OctoZ a few years ago, thus eliminating a hose. In the meantime I took up road bicycling to improve my air consumption. Now I ride more than I dive! Enjoy! N.
MATTHEW F It's balanced. (And I love it. Never Had a Problem w/it at all)
Charles K Can I go right into the water with this package? Do i need to purchase pressure hoses or anything else?
ODED Z Well you will have to put a mask and wear your fins and wet suit before you jump into the water. And don't forget to place the tanks. You'll find it helpful under water. Joking everything comes with it no extra pressure hose or anything is necessary.
David R all hoses and everything else is included with the package so you would be ready to go just assembly needed unless you call and request it at no charge.
Shopper Does this reg come with a DIN or yoke connection?
LeisurePro S This reg comes with a yoke connection, but we have the DIN converter for the Abyss 22 here.
Shopper Does the Mares Mission Puck 3 Computer Console come as shown?
LeisurePro S Yes, the console includes the Puck computer with a pressure gauge and compass.
Shopper Can you use nitrox with the reg?
LeisurePro S Yes, the reg can be used with nitrox to 40%.
Shopper i live in australia and am concerned with the gauges being in psi rather than bar. Can the gauge be changed?
LeisurePro S The gauge is in Imperial units, but if you call our sales department at 888-805-3600, they can help you substitute a metric gauge/correct compass.
Shopper Can I order this package with the Aeris Epic Hoseless Wrist Computer instead of the Mission Puck 3?
LeisurePro S If you call our sales department at 888-805-3600, we'll be able to set up a custom package for you.
Shopper Can change out the BC for a different one?
LeisurePro S Yes, if you would contact our sales department at 888-805-3600, they would be happy to help you set up a substitution with the package.
Shopper do some cold water diving with 7mm farmer and 7mm jacket also hood boots and gloves need over 30 lbs of weight. looking at mares dragon in mares pacage 3 . says it will only hold 26 lbs
LeisurePro S The size med to Xl will hold a total of 36 Lbs integrated into the bc, of that 26 is dumpable. This BC should work very well for your weight capacity needs.
Shopper For the scuba packages, do they come assembled?
LeisurePro S Our packages do not comes pre-assembled, but if you would like everything assembled before it ships, simply leave a note with detailed instructions in the 'special delivery instructions' box of the checkout procedure and we would be happy to set it up for you.
