Questions about this item:
jeff p I am 6 feet tall and weigh about 210 lbs. what size would be best? Also, would the 5 mm be enough for 60 degree water temp, or do you recommend the 7mm? Thanks, Jeff
CARLOS A It depends on your body type: Slender - XLg. For muscular and big bone - XXL. I am 6 ft. & 214 Lbs. slender arms, legs but beer belly type and have a NeoSport XXL, 5mm with hood and gloves for 70 F water. It's snug except in the chest (fills w water). I wear a skinsuit underneath the wetsuit, makes it easier to put on and remove the wetsuit. A 7mm will make you more bouyant - it depends how you tolerate cold water. I am from the tropics and like to stay warm to slightly hot while diving. I rather stay in 80F waters wearing a 1-2 mm shorty. Hope this helps. Happy diving!!
JAMES S Jeff, with 60 degree water you will need at least a 7mm. If you plan on diving that kind of temp on a regular basis you might consider a dry suit.
BLAKE S I am 6'2" and weight 2225lbs. I bought a 2XL which fix good. A Xl may be a good fix for you. I have been in water 62 degrees with my 5mm and I was fine. I think the chart suggest a 7mm.
LEON D H The 5 will be fine. Good fit too.
Scot H Hi Jeff,
I am 6.3" and about 175lbs and bought a medium 5mm. I am a pro diver (cleaning boat bottoms), so I spend much of an 8 hour day in water that ranges from 60-75 degrees over the course of the summer. This suits are a good deal for the price but really have issues with flushing and water pooling. As a result this suit can have cold spots or chilling flushes if you are active in the water. If you were looking to dive recreationally in 60 degree water, I'd opt for a better suit, something semi-dry, and possibly thicker as well.
Shopper If i wear a size 8 or 81/2 shoe what size bootie would i get?
BRYAN C IN my case I have a 10-1/2 shoe and purchased a size ten and it fits well.
FIRE H I purchased this same package some time back, I wear an 11 1/2 -12 and ordered the 12 and it fits perfect. I would order your correct size, and best thing even if it does not fit correct, they will trade you out for one that does, best part of Leisurepro is th eawesome customer service!
Frank L For a men's 8, go with an 8. Women's 8, order a 6.
FLOYD S I ware a 9 1/1 to 10 and I got a 10 and it is a little large. My son wares a 11 he got an 11 and it fits great.
Hope this helps
Shopper Do i need boots to swim in my pool with a wet suit?
JEREMY S Depends on how comfortable your fins are without boots on. I always wear my boots regardless, but if your comfortable without them then i don't see why you would need them in a pool.
MARK T If your pool is cold enough to require a 5 mm suit then you may find that booties & gloves would increase your comfort level. You may find that boots make your swim strokes different if not difficult. I would consider a thinner boot & glove material if I weere using these specifically for pool / exercise work. Stay Warm!
BRYAN C When I tried out my new suit in the pool I did not wear them in the pool, but did not need them my pool was 75 degrees.
PJ A Depends on how cold your pool is. I would say probably not but they would definitely keep your feet warmer if your pool is cool or cold. I would also think it would make actual swimming akward. If you are just getting in and walking around they would be fine.
Shopper Does anyone know if this would be suitable for surfing??
SUSAN M We use it scuba diving and have enjoyed...runs small. Both husband and son are in an XL @ 6'1 190 lbs...
STEPHEN G This is a very warm suit. I dove in 58 to 65 degree water for over 40 min and was comfortable the whole time. It was so warm that the surface swim to the dive site was on the hot side. Surface was 83 degrees, air was 87.
TRACY C it should be fine,it is a nice warm jumpsuit.
JAMES E P I have one of these and like it, but I would think it would feel a bit thick and restrictive for paddling.
REBECCA S I wouldn't use it for surfing. I surf and dive and the surf wetsuits are WAY more flexible in the arms/shoulders where you need it...dive wetsuits, not so much.
Got to whiskeymilitia.com. Sign up to get there emails they have been having some good deals on surf wetsuits lately. Also try departmentofgoods.com. I think you'll be happier with a suit designed for surfing because they know that you need to be able to move comfortable in your suit and be warm.
TIM C I'm not a surfer, I bought mine to dive, but I do like the wetsuit. Once I'm in the water and situated, it is very comfortable. I'm a big guy and I can move around in it pretty good.
Shopper my height is 5'3 and my waist is 32 what size do i need?
FRANCES Z Hi:
I am 6' 2" and 180. I use a 2X large. I am not sure what size you would need. The length is correct and the torso is loose on my suit. I like it that way because it has room for a core warmer under it.
The suit has been very good and was an exceptional value. It works fine in cold water with a core warmer.
Make sure you don't get the hood too large or it will fill up with air on your dive. It is not vented.
STEVE G Hi I end up buy a pinnacle 7m wet suit as if I remember the zipper did not go down far enough to get into. I have not had a chance to use it yet. But dose fit better than the one you are looking at. Hope this helps
MARION T I cant believe Leisure Pro asked me to answer this question. This question can be answered by using the "sizing chart" or by an employee of Leisure Pro. I do not work for Leisure Pro. I am a customer of Leisure Pro.
Shopper Hi
I am 5'7" and weigh 150 lbs with a waist of 33 inches. What size wetsuit should I buy? Also advise how do i select the hood and gloves?
MYRON C I would recommend a large. Suit is durable and well made. I would buy 3 MM gloves and a hood of the same thickness as the suit. Best of luck
DANIEL S You sound pretty much like my stature. All my wetsuits have been Mediums. But it all depends. You may have to try several Mediums of different styles and manufacturers until you find one that fits. This particular wetsuit didn't fit me perfectly and I sent it back. But it really all depends on the model and what you're looking for. It is extremely unlikely to mail-order a wetsuit and have it fit perfectly, even if it's technically the right size.
ANTHONY S I'm a bit larger than you and my sizing fell on the line between med. and large. I bought the large and the fit was comfortable. With your size I would go with medium.
CORRY C I ordered the large, but the jumpsuit was too big for me. A Mediums is usually too small for me. I ended up with a medium/Large in a different brand and it fits great. I am 5'-11", 33" waist, & Weigh 170 lbs. For what its worth, the Medium size hood fit great. I have average size hands, the neoprene gloves run small for me; extra large was not too big. We probably have a similar build. I would guess a Medium jumpsuit for your height. Snug is good especially when the suit is wet. Sometimes in these packages you take what you can get in gloves and hoods.
Shopper How do you choose glove size?
LeisurePro S You can use the following guidelines to choose a glove size. Measure across your palm from from the knuckle of your forefinger to the knuckle of your pinkie. XSm = 2 1/8- 2 5/8 inches, Sm = 2 5/8 - 3 1/8 inches, Med = 3 1/8 - 3 5/8 inches, Lg = 3 5/8 - 4 1/8 inches, XL = 4 1/8 - 4 5/8 inches, XXL = 4 5/8 - 5 1/8 inches.
Shopper What is the difference between the jumpsuit and a wetsuit?
LeisurePro S A jumpsuit is simply a type of wetsuit. It is a one piece, full length suit as opposed to a shorty suit or a suit that has two pieces to it (a farmer john and a step in jacket).
Shopper I am 6'1'', 165 lbs. 32'' waist with a 38" chest. What size would you recommend?
LeisurePro S I would recommend a medium.
