Shopper Does it float?
MICHAEL B Yes it does float.
JEFFREY B All the watertight containers will float on their own due to the airspace. I'm sure if you filled it completely with something heavy like coins it might sink. I've snorkeled with this in my pocket and the smaller 1000 series. You may need to secure it in your pocket or around your wrist to prevent it from floating away. I have dived with the smaller one in my BC with no problems. Just make sure the rubber seal is clean and in good shape. If you don't get a good seal it will leak.
JOSHUA G Yes it floats empty or with normal loading of small camera, wallet or keys, etc... but if you were to fill it with a bar of lead or gold it would sink!
CARL G if there is air in it... guess it might not if you fill it with lead
JON V Yes it does. I used it to put my billfold in while shore diving or snorkeling. I run my weight belt or bcd strap through the wrist lanyard to keep it secured to me. Works great!
JAMES K yes it does, but I have never overloaded it, so at some point .....
TAD B Yes, it floats. With the two latches, the seal is very tight and includes a rubber gasket in the lid where it meets the bottom compartment. There is also a padded liner in the top & bottom compartments.
BOYD B It floats when it is closed and sealed
THOMAS M Kind of depends what's in it......... right?
Yes, it floats
