Robert B The photo shows the bladder only with an inflator hose that is part of the bladder itself, not the low pressure hose that connects to the regulator's 1st stage. Is that hose also included or do I need to get one separately?
ROBERT B it has been a while but, i don't recall purchase of a xtra hose, and i sure have one. the unit is of good quality, i would recommend it.

Robert B If I counted correctly 5 people said the LP hose is included and 5 said it isn't. Thanks all for your responses but I guess a call to leisurepro is in order. By the way, I'm planning to buy a complete setup of BC and regulator, so I don't yet have a regulator, or an LP inflator hose, and as far as I can tell this hose is not included in the box with the regulator.
BILLY N The low pressure/inflator hose is a part of your regulator set up.
FRANK K The LP hose in included w/this bladder. I replaced it w/an OMS 60lb bungee b/c I didn't like the drag w/this bladder.
PHILIP L I purchesed this wing from leisure pro a couple of years back and at the time it did include a low pressure inflator hose. Can't attest to it still including the hose now. It's a good single tank wing, I've enjoyed it. Good luck.
DONALD T A As I recall, no LP inflator hose was included in 2007 when I bought mine, but Leisure Pro should have an updated answer.

ELIZABETH G If I remember correctly, mine included the hose from the first stage reg to the inflator. If you call customer service they can open a box and double check for you.
RICHARD L The low pressure inflator hose should be attached to your first stage. It will need to be purchased separately.

WILLIAM O Mine came without the LP hose. This is a great little wing. I use it for single AL80 rec diving. Anything more agressive I need to go to the OMS 45lb or my Hollis 65lb.
Wim H Do you need a single tank adapter when using this 32 lb wing, or is it possible to fasten the bottle directly to the backplate using cam bands?
MARC C I have the OMS IQ pack harness which does not require a backplate. If you use any other harness with this bladder, you will need a backplate.

MICHAEL E The backplack by itself has no ability to mount the tanks w/o single tank adaptor.
RICHARD L You can feed the straps right through the backplate and wing, and the tank will sit quite snug and centered without an adaptor.
CARLOS S I am not sure how you would attach the cam bands to the backplate, bladder, and tank without the single tank adapter.
The single tank adapter attaches all three items: back plate, bladder, and camband. Then the cam band secures the tank. Hope this helped. You should look at pictures of how these items are setup.
CRAIG P That's the only way I rig mine (Single tank adapter). I take my doubles steel back plate/harness and switch to use it with a single Aluminum 80 or other for recreational diving. I believe that's what the slots are for, though, so I would suppose you could just feed one or two cam bands through the slots on your BP and the wing. The OMS web site says thats what they are provided for. Check out OMS site and click on BC to see for yourself.
BILLY N I do not see any reason why not . I use an adaptor but only because I thought it might be more stable as I trist & turn a lot while diving. Can't reach my tank valve with the BC on as it sits back more but the tank can be placed higher without bumping your head on the regulator. BN
GARY G You can use this wing with an OMS backplate and no single tank addapter however the tank will shift side to side and will never be very secure. I would get the STA, it's a much better setup
RANDY B I use the single tank adapter with mine and the cam bands go thru it and lock tight and the adapter is secured with wing nuts to the backplate. Makes it very stable and no tank movement. I guess you could try without it but I think you will have some movement from side to side. I advise getting the single tank adapter.
DONALD T A My BC, although it uses the OMS bladder, is home-brewed. FWIW, I use two nylon (similar to weight belt material) cam bands looped through the bladder and the back plate so the bladder is squeezed between the tank and back plate.
LANNY P I use an OMS IQ harness in combo with this bladder, and do NOT use anything, no backplate or adapter. The cam bands hold single tanks securely. I routinely dive heavy steel HP120s without a problem. Different harness setups may require a backplate, but not an adapter, this bladder cradles a tank very well.

What is the logic of having a dump valve on the lower left front side? in what position will you use the pull dump?
JON B when your head is down and there's too much air in your bladder its easy to get to and release the air in the bladder
CRAIG P I had this same question when I met the manufacturer of another brand which I owned a double bladder wing from -- it had two dumps on the front lower position. The second bladder had both dumps on the rear. The reason has to do with physical position of the bladders. I own this OMS wing and use it recreationally. YES, (if you are like me), I would prefer the dump behind me, however, what it is is what it is. The dump like any dump will work only if you are in a position where the air is at the highest level of the particular dump. If you are slighty forward (tilt) from horizontal, this model's dump will still work to rid (most) of the air, but NOT all of it, since physics will still allow (some) accumulation on the back (bottom). NOTE: This wing has been very dependable and I am VERY satisfied with it.
GARY G The lower dump valve can come in handy if your feet get floaty in a drysuit. Anything to help avoid a feet first uncontrolled ascent. I also find it handy when transfering from on deck to a lower deck in wreck penetrations.
DAN T I prefer top right myself. If you want OMS...that is what you get. Would also prefer another inch or two longer inflation hose.
CARLOS S When you are looking at a rock wall, sometimes it's easier to be upside down to look inside a crack or hole for sealife. This will cause the air in the bladder to travel to the lower part of the BCD thus making it efeective the dump the air in that position.
WILLIAM L Bladder wings are used mostly by technical divers who try to stay horizontal in the water colum. Many open water divers I see try to swim with their head in the up right postion which is not effient and often leads to distrubing the floor sediments or damaging a reef. If you stay in a more horizontial postion, the dump vavle on the lower left works much better than the corrigated hose dump.
MICHAEL S Having a dump valve at the bottom of the bladder is useful when you are descending headfirst and find there is just a bit of air still in the bladder to release. Front or back doesn't matter as the air will still come out.
RANDY B The dump is on the lower front side closest to the diver to allow access without reaching around the bladder. You will use this dump if you are in a heads down position.
BILLY N Any time you are in a heads down position. I do a lot of boat diving, photography & just diving in general where it really comes in handy to release air from the bladder. I probably use it 30%-40% of the time while diving. I desend most of the time in a heads down whether a free desent or down the ancor/moring line & sometimes have a little more air than I want. A pull on the release does the trick without having to turn upright to preform the procedure. The same is true trying to get your head/camera down into a position to get the shot you want. I would not own a BC without this feature. Always better to have it & not need it than need it & not have it, especially in an emergency situation. Sincerely, Billy Norman
DONALD T A I've used the bladder often since purchasing it, but have never used the lower dump valve. I can only conjecture that if I were upside down and wanted to dump air - for example, were I to surface and immediately see a boat approaching me, I'd do a surface dive and try to get depth fast - I'd use it. It's also an alternative exhaust for dumping (after a dive or dives) the bit of water that seems to find its way inside the bladder.
MITCHELL H Most U shaped BC bladders have a lower dump valve, either left or right side. It's main use is for trim when in a head down position, particularly when using with a dry suit.
Akshay T well yeah but they are behind the diver. this one seems to point towards the front.
MITCHELL H All the bottom dump valves I've seen on tech BCs (I have several from different manufactures) are on the front. I have 2 dual bladder BCs with 2 front facing bottom dump valves.
It would be more difficult and time consuming to reach around to the back of the BC. The top rear dump valve is easily used by pulling on the oral inflator hose.
Shopper This is my second year diving, and I am now going for my advanced open water. Do you recommend this to a young diver, and do you think it will be good for photography?
GARY G great for photography. wing naturally holds a more horizontal trim. easier to come close to bottom without stirring up sediment

LeisurePro S A set up including this can work very well for a young diver, although it is a more complex set up than a standard bc and will require other parts before it can be used (such as OMSIQ). As long as you are comfortable with your scuba set up than anything will work well for photography.

Pull down the zipper of the outer cover of the OMS_ BC and you will see 1000 denier Nylon fabric backed with 5 to 6 oz. of Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU). This thicker TPU coating helps prevent abrasion and increases puncture resistance. Most competitors use only 1/2 oz. or no urethane backing on their BC covers making them susceptible to punctures, abrasion and subsequent leaks. Housed inside the outer cover we use a puncture resistant bladder constructed from 200 denier Nylon fabric backed with .12 mm of TPU. Most of our competitors use only a thin plastic film bladder that is more susceptible to damage. There are other differences such as 100% quality assurance inspection for leaks, imperfections and defects before your OMS_ BC is delivered. The 32 lb. lift non-retraction band BC's are made from the same superior materials as the banded BC's. They incorporate a pull dump located at the diver's side lower left and an inflator hose exiting the center of the BC, tank side.
