Do you want the brightest, lightest, and most reliable dive lights on the market? The New Phantom Mini HID Dive Light is perhaps the smallest and brightest 10-watt HID light in the world. It is so small, in fact, that you can place the canister in many BC pockets! Couple this with increased reliability, which is demonstrated by the fact OMS refuses to use hot glue to seal bulkhead cord connectors and uses proprietary depth-rated fittings. OMS has also eliminated the mostcommon failure point on any light - the rubber booted toggle switch. Finally, by machining the bulkhead into the cap and the head (2) points, common failure points are eliminated! The OMS light utilizes a metal switch that is mounted in the light head for increased reliability and the prevention of accidentally turning on/off the light.
OMS has designed compression fittings that add to the water-tightness of the 10-watt and 21-watt HID lighting units at depth. (The max. depth rating for the 10-watt is 1700 FSW and 1500 FSW for the 21-watt.)
The new SMART 4-Ah and 8-Ah NiMH batteries utilize Thermisters and special high-cycle "click" devices to protect against thermal run-always and over-charging. In addition to the standard USA plug, the charger has an optional plug kit that allows for use in the UK, Europe, and Australia.
The light head can be held in your hand or it can be affixed to the optional Goodman Handle. Additionally, there is an area to fasten a swivel snap to your light, so the light head can be mounted to your harness' D-ring. Waist mounting is also possible by using a piece of webbing that is mounted between the two (2) stainless steel bands.
