Overall the fit/finish of the cutter and velcro holster were good. However, the cutter blade was dull (on arrival) and the serrated portion was more for decoration. Cutter would not cut para-cord without extreme tension on the line and moderate force on the part of the cutter. Doesn't belong in my dive kit.

Service and delivery comments:

Delivery was prompt and packed well. Unfortunately, the OMS titanium line cutter was dull on arrival (not Leisure Pro's fault). However, the return process was very easy, and Leisure Pro processed the refund quickly. Thank you Leisure Pro!!!

I have worked in Fire/Ems for a number of years so I know that when you purchase a tool like this, your life may come to depend on it. You need to be confident that the thing will work. Everything else is secondary. Ive used a number of line cutters before. This is a LCSO (line cutter shaped object). It comes completely dull and its grind is too shallow to sharpen effectively. The benefit of titanium knives is that they don't corrode and become dull while sitting in their sheath. They will be ready to go when you need them, but they are really hard to sharpen effectively and don't hold their edge once you use them. This property makes titanium ideal for rescue cutters and a little less than ideal for knives that you use every day. If you are going to buy a titanium cutting tool it needs to come sharp from the factory. You could probably get the thing really sharp if you took the time, but you shouldn't have to finish the manufacturing process for OMS. I tested this cutter on a number of different cordages and mono-filament lines. Lite line simply stretched and broke. It would not cut thicker line. The serrations are little more than bumps and are for looks. You are better off buying EMS shears, a seat belt cutter, or a line cutter that uses a replaceable protected razor blade. Even the little line cutter on my Atomic dive knife was far superior. On a positive note, It will make you look like a cool tech diver if you strap it to your b.c. Just don't trust your life to it.

This is a great little cutter. It fits in my hand easily wearing 3mm gloves. Might be a bit too small for really bulky gloves, but still would be usable. The pouch is nice and attaches to my BC without much hassle. Because it is titanium, it is light and doesn't require any rinsing!

Lakes tend to have a lot of mono fishing line in the water. Easy to get snagged or caught by the transparent line. This tool cuts like a champ. My only complaint is it would be nice if this unit had a handle more like a knife. But it is still very easy to use, just make sure you put a lanyard on it to prevent dropping it....
