Shopper what do you men by "un-strung"? does this mean tht the metl plate and the harness is not assembled once i recieve the pckage?
SALEM A the harness itself will also come unassembled. you have the pass the webbing through the plate before attaching the D rings and shoulder pads.
hope this helps
Frank L Correct, not assembled.
DAVID B Yes, the harness is not assembled.
This product comes with all of the pieces needed to put the back plate togeher as shown. It is not very difficult to assemble, however it is important to make sure that the orietation of the prts is correct before you string all the parts together.
WALTER M Yes that is correct. You will need to put it together.
BG W PS: There were no instructions in the package with mine! I can imagine that if they are there, they're very helpful!
BG W Yes, that's exactly what they mean: the dive harness is not assembled -- it's the straps and the backplate with slots. It will take you at least an hour, constant reference to the picture, and some cursing. For all I know there may be a Youtube video by now. I can tell you I assembled mine with the shoulder parts slightly too long but it was such a pain to try to adjust I've just dealt with a little wiggling. That said, I enjoy this harness immmensely and really prefer this to a conventional bulky BCD with integrated bladder etc. Especially if you like to swim through tight places.
JONATHAN B Yes not put together and if u buy the harness it does not come with the back plate . I returned the product.
WENDELL K That's correct but it comes with lacing instructions and if you can lace a sneaker then this is not a problem Great harness and backplate. Get the pad for added comfort.
MIKE F Unstrung means that the webbing in not assembled through the plate, you have to run the webbing. Not difficult, instructions are very clear about how to run.
ANDREW B Yep -- not assembled
ROBERT G Yes you have to string the webbing through the metal plate and the harness D rings etc.. If you have never done before it does take some time. The instructions that came with it are very thorough. If you take your time it is no problem.
